Chunkloaders are very important, don't disable them. Instead, I'd suggest stetting a maximum chunks per player in the server configs. Don't remove mystcraft as well, it's very useful. Instead, ban descriptive books and make ages application only.

Please don't call it Tekkit 4- it isn't. Whether you use it or not is obviously up to you. But continuing to work on a 1.4 pack would be a total waste of time. What more is there to do? These mods will not be added back into Tekkit, even once they update. We all have! :D -
Did you remember to increment the version number? The launcher will only know to re-download your modpack's zip if you change the version from 1.0 to 1.0.1, for example, on the modpack's technicpack.net settings page.

Yep, I had a great time with this pack. Probably one of the best I've played. Still, I think it would be better to play Tekkit instead of Tekkit lite because it will be updated, and you won't loose all your progress, but that's just me.

Don't forget you need to start TekkitLite.jar, not minecraft_server.jar -

Until the Mod API comes out, that is. Ideally mods will be able to update independantly of Minecraft versions. Proof that it's coming: in 13w37a, when using the setblock command, you choose the block based on a string, not an ID #. This is a step in the direction of phasing out ID#s completely. (See Sethbling's spotlight video) Ahh, so much ninjaing. -

The fact is, RedPower is not updated. It was such an integral part of Tekkit Lite it could not have been updated. Minecraft 1.5 added huge stability and feature improvements, and all the modders moved on. It would have been foolish to stay with an older version of Minecraft, without the support of the modders. I was kidding about FTB, by the way. -

Tekkit lite was not bad, but it was out of date with no possibility of an update. It was for our own good that it was ended early. Many of us have already moved on. -

I want them to have one tekkit that they update. Thats what Tekkit is intended to do. Thats why it was named "Tekkit". Tekkit Classic isn't a dead little modpack, it's the mighty Tekkit 3! It is last in the line of the original epic tekkit modpacks! Someday, when all other packs fade from memory, Tekkit Classic will remain strong in our minds- The modpack loved by millions of Yogscast fans, the first multiplayer modpack. But nothing lives forever. All good things must come to an end, eventually. Times change, modders fall out, projects stall. But we had to move on. Were we going to sit around on MC1.2.5 while our nemesis, FTB, triumphantly updated to the latest!?! No! So a new modpack was released, a test, to see if a larger modpack that shipped without bukkit could work. It did work. Many happily played Tekkit Lite for hours on end, including me. But once again, a lack of updates killed a perfectly good modpack. With it's head gone MIA, IC2 languished. The only word of a RedPower update were 2 tweets 6 monts ago and rumors of a 1.5 dev build on Forgecraft. 2/3 of Tekkit Lite's core mods were gone. Yet, through the darkness, a glimmer of hope shone. TE could replace IC2, MFR had much more content than before, and a new mod was on the rise- Galacticraft! No longer would players be limited to earth! Now we could rise up out of the depths into the light, and towards the stars! That was fun to write. -

Ok, but Cheap Shot is the artist. So he makes the logo blue and Sct puts it on the website? I did this on Android, so that wasn't really an option.

While sheep don't live naturally in African savannas, they do live in Minecraft savannas. Zebra skins I agree with, though, that'd be really cool! I think Zebras can breed with horses irl, so we could get a cross like the mule that couldn't breed again. Edit button!
