1. I think he stated somewhere that he will update to T7, but I would guess that he'll do it for the rec build. Can't wait, I really love this pack and 32x is about the maximum resolution my crappy pc allows me to run...
2. Of course, somebody's got to change our senior's diapers after all...
3. I think he missed that kaker has put quotation marks around development... Or he just simply has no sense of humor...
4. Si c'est seulement quelques passages courtes que tu ne comprends pas, envoie moi une pm avec le texte en anglais et je te fais la traduction... Google n'est pas toujours tres precis, surtout quand ca concerne des choses plutot techniques...
5. Yeah that's why I had planned to use computercraft, that was the only way I could think of to get the timing exactly right. With cc-controlled rp2-retrievers feeding into chests next to the ACTs it should be possible, as with cc you could time-shift the differnt steps of the production. But it would still be a lot of work to get it right... I never came around to try it, as my system worked fine for 32 normal panels at a time, which was enough for me...
6. Yeah I wasn't sure either and tested it as well (with mfe's, I'm on technic 7.0.1), you're right it, works perfectly fine...
7. I think the problem is that wooden pipes pull the finished item only out of ACTs if there are 2 pieces of each ingredient, which wouldn't be possible with energy crystals.
8. I was asking myself: How many other people here are older than 30? How did you come to technic and how do you play it? Technic or tekkit? If tekkit: With friends or with your wife and kids? So if... - you always place your bed near the bathroom - you think the greatest thing about frames is that you can now build an elevator, so you don't have to climb stairs anymore - firing a musket reminds you of the good old times - you are pissed because the goggles of revealing don't have diopters - the first time you saw an ender dragon you asked: "Hey honey, what are we going to have for dinner?" - you tried to macerate bread to feed it to those cute mo creatures ducks - you're desperately trying to make viagra in your brewing stand ... then this thread is for you! Me I'm 32, I found the pcgamer demo somewhere and was immediately addicted to MC, I bought it as soon as the 90 minutes ran out (I think it was around beta 1.7.3) and began already in vanilla to automate farms with pistons and water etc., so technic was the next logic step. Today I`m barely able to play any other games, I couldn't even finish Skyrim. I play exclusively SSP, and my main focus is to automate everything as far as possible, preferrably using many different mods together. Sow how about you, fellow geezers?
9. Same here, but I have the impression that it's a bit faster since the last few days...
10. That looks very nice, but please resize your pictures --> add width=800 to the img tab, like so:
11. You're underestimating the capability of morons to fuck shit up. EDIT: I just looked at his other posts, the only thing this guy does is suggesting mods while refusing to use the sticky that was created for this. Not to mention that all the mods he suggests are already in that sticky. If I had to take a guess, I'd say he would definitely fuck it up. I'd even bet he tried, failed, and then came here to beg technic to put it in.
12. Exactly, the main problem besides figuring out the ACT layout is supplying the right amount of ressources. I did it the same way as you, I had an input chest surrounded by signs where I noted the necessary amounts of each item to craft 32 solar panels... I thought about pulling the items with computercraft-controlled rp2-retrievers into chests next to the ACTs but never did it. As you said, it's too much of an effort, even for an automation-freak like me...
13. When I last tried they did not, except for recipes whithout empty slots in the ACT ( 9 x iron = iron block etc.). For everything else they just spammed the empty slots with whatever you sent in. It has been a while though, maybe it got fixed in the meanwhile...
14. Surely not with automatic crafting tables, and redpower tubes vs. logistic pipes is a matter of opinion / personal preferences. I forgot that logistic pipes are not part of tekkit though...
15. Hmm that sounds tasty. I'm almost tempted to do calvin a favor...
16. Forestry is still in the rec build, but won't be in future versions. At least Portal Gun, Sneaky Pipes, Iron Chests and Laser Mod are not, IIRC (I'm on 7.0.1 for a while so I can't check, correct me if I'm wrong) As far as Technic 7 is concerned, we'll have to wait and see...
17. And of course you could try to install the mods you absolutely want on top of technic, but stay away from the bug report section if you choose to do that...
18. Yeah I did it for normal solar panels, except the EE part... It was a major pain in the ass to figure out the placement of the automatic crafting tables, but it's definitely possible. I did it with normal buildcraft pipes + advanced insertions though, I think the version of technic I was playing at that time didn't have logistic pipes yet, or I just didn't know yet how awesome they are. Should be much easier with them...
19. Lol, very nice answer DragnHntr, straight to the point... But I'll try it with constructive criticism, maybe there is still some hope: There are many people here who are smart enough to do it, but do you really believe someone would spend hours building this, just to do you a favor because you are too lazy to try it yourself? Why do you play technic/tekkit at all, if you have no interest in figuring out complicated setups on your own? Try to be creative and ingenious, that's what technic is all about. If you get stuck somewhere, ask a specific question, and people here will gladly help you out. But don't ask them to do your work for you. To get you started: - if you want to use EE: Condensers for the basic materials - a shitload of automatic crafting tables - Advanced Insertion Pipes or Logistic Pipes to avoid overflow
20. Yeah I would simply disable Crafting Table II in the mod select file, I personally never use it as there is nei, and for often used and complicated recipes I use a wall of rp2 project tables... If you absolutely want it you would have to change the block id manually but that is a bit more complicated, you have to search for a free block id with nei first and then change the id in the crafting table II config file. Try searching the forums, there's a detailled how to somwhere... But you could also try to delete the entire technicssp folder and downloading everything again, if you really didn't change anything this shouldn't have happend in the first place, so it seems like something went wrong...
21. Casper is right, if you want to add mods to technic, whenever the mod installation instructions say "put in minecraft.jar", put it in the modpack.jar instead, using 7zip... For anything else, follow the instructions like with vanilla MC. And yes, definitely make a backup of the entire technicssp folder when you add anything to a working setup... I installed ComputerCraft, IC2 Advanced Machines, Optifine and Better Enchanting on top of technic 7.0.1 and it works fine so far... Haven't tried for Portal Gun, as it is a bit OP in my opinion, but I think I have read a post of someone who got it in, but that was probably for technic 6, as it is a while ago, try the search function or simply google technic + portal gun... I don't think you have to install anything else, if the required auxiliary mods aren't already in technic, it probably won't work anyways... Not 100% sure about that though, I'm not very experienced in installing mods neither...
22. I never had any problems with the composition of my subway sandwiches, but I have a very strange subway experience to share nevertheless: I went into a subway about 5 years ago, and there were clouds of fruit flies. I'm not exaggerating, and I wasn't on drugs... I swear, there were clouds of them everywhere, on the counter, in the containers where they have the ingredients, on the tables, everywhere! And nobody seemed to care, the employees didn't even seem to notice them anymore, and there was a line of about 10 customers waiting patiently to buy their sandwiches. It was fucking surreal. I mean, ok, it's just fruit flies and granted, it was a very hot summer day, but come on, it was CLOUDS of them. No way anybody got a sandwich without at least a quarter pound of extra meat... And this was a real subway franchise in germany, not some rip-off in a third world country... I literally walked backwards out of the shop. It took me 3 years to set a foot into a subway again after that.
23. No I meant rap in general. For the bookmark: in the entertaining way...
24. 6303873207628675467 is a good one for 7.0.1 Lots of biomes , several eldritch monoliths, tainted chunks, volcanos, oil, you name it... and everything near the spawn point... Imgur Album here
