  1. I used fraps. First time using it, I usually just record with OBS because i know the settings from streaming. However, i couldn't get it to work and i couldn't hear the voice audio so someone said to try fraps and compress the video.
  2. Alright, I've been asked a few times throughout the forum to post a video of an idea I had thought of (I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it). So i jumped into a creative world and quickly somewhat built the idea and it's functional. However, I know you guys can play with the idea and make it way more compact and maybe better.I apoligize for the quality of the video, I had a bunch of bugs with software and tried something new out but forgot to turn the motion blur off so it looks a little choppy. But, Enjoy! (also I have no aspirations to become a youtuber or commentator so criticize all you want, but for the most part I probably won't put any more effort than this into any video I make to help people lol) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6xp7ii7cK4 Thanks
  3. Alright, this was a quick (and ugly) build. I would've had it up earlier but the amount of trouble I had recording and uploading it was horrendous. But, here's the basics of the idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6xp7ii7cK4
  4. I could work in making one probably. I'll set up a creative world and build it in there. I can definitely show the planter and harvester stuff but I'm not sure about the piping. It's pretty buggy and confusing alot of the times.
  5. I have an automatic tree farm with a planter and harvester that constantly farms the trees. WIth the project red pipes im able to keep the planter stocked with sapplings and have all the wood sent to my pulverizers which dump the charcoal into all my steam dynamos so i have a never ending power plant.
  6. I've heard that the Altar from witchery keeps the chunk loaded. Someone in our server had a mishap with a villager farm in the same chunk as the altar and we got on the next day and there were thousands of villagers lol. Also, i see Loader said the poppet shelf from witchery does too.
  7. Are you sure you aren't using a steam dynamo and not a steam turbine? The dynamo would need a source of fuel like coal, charcoal or wood.
  8. I've noticed since the update to 1.0.9, the yellow heart drops everytime i believe. Easy way to get them is to use the autospawner from Minefactory and grind Wither skeletons. Or you could just spawn them and kill them with the cleaver and beheading modifier and before you know you have many wither skulls to make the withers. I've gotten 4 or 5 of them today from withers.
  9. I just set up a farm with oak trees and have the harvester and planter set up and with the project red pipes and chips, i have them auto refilling the planter with saplings and the logs go to pulverizers and then onto steam dynamos. So far, it seems pretty self sufficient. Just an idea if someone wants to use it.
  10. yeah, I tried this out with 8 magmatic dynamos and it ran out of power...I just cant find any dynamo i like. The steam one seems the best to me i just hate getting coal. What have you guys been using to charge a resonant energy cell? I cant find anything that creates enough power to charge it at a decent rate. I had 8 magmatic dynamos charging it and they all ran out of power in seconds. I even had the max input at 80rf/t and they still ran out (that doesnt make sense does it?)
  11. Really, an itemduct in the back didnt work? All the mob drops come out the back, i really figured an itemduct would work. I have a chest set up in the back of mine. You could mess with the project red transportation pipes and route them instead of using itemducts.
  12. I've been wanting to do this too, so cobblestone will turn into lava? Or am i missing something? I'm guessing youre saying if you add cobble to the crucible it will result in lava? Also, I've been having problems finding the right dynamo to power everything. I've tried them all but the reactant and the only one that works for me is the steam dynamo. I've added liquified coal and a coolant to the compression and it builds rF but as soon as i hook it up to my machines it just instantly goes to 0 rF and never rises. I've also tried hooking up 3 magmatic dynamos using liquid pyro and it builds rf and as soon as its hooked up to machines it disapears. Also tried it with lava. However, the steam dynamo is the only one creating rF and constantly.
  13. I've been looking for a B-Team server to join so this sounds good to me. I'm 22 and live near Chicago so the time difference wouldn't be bad, only 1 hour behind. Ive got 60 down and 12 up so my internet is good (as long as Comcast doesn't feel the need to kick me offline lol). I have a set of Astro a50's so my mic is pretty good i believe. I usually just stream the modpack when I play I haven't gotten into the youtube side. If you're interested, send me a message on here and ill send you my skype name, it's the same as my real name so I'd rather not post it on here. Thanks.
  14. I've got a breeder and rancher from minefactory set up in a small 5x5 pen. It supplies me with tons of wool and and raw mutton for food. Then i take the wool and put it through a pulverizer and it turns it into string and either bonemeal or dye. Then i craft it all into white wool again and run it through and build up my bonemeal and then use it to make fertilizer for my wheat farm, which then in return gives me the wheat to breed the sheep. I just have the 4 upgraded fertilzer and harvester blocks, so it's all automated.
  15. Alright, I figured it out. I didn't realize it mattered exactly where you ran your energy in and mob essence out. I had the power going into the top of the grinder and the essence out of the back. I found out you have to have the power and the mob essence each on the side of the grinder for it to continuously work. I figured I'd post this incase anyone made the same mistake as i did. Thanks.
  16. Alright, I'll try in my singleplayer world as well as my test world and see if one of those suggestions works. Thanks.
  17. here's a video of my single player world of what's going on. It's pretty much the same as the creative world problem.
  18. I've been trying to make an auto spawner work, however, i need mob essence. So, I've set up a grinder powered off steam dynamo in a creative world to test everything out and it kills the first one or two then stops. It has full power, but the Idle bar stops moving and just stays at 200t (I'm guessing its 200 ticks?). I've upgraded to higher power supplies but the power doesn't seem to be the issue? Have any of you set up a successful grinder to extract mob essence yet? If you'd like i could record what I've been trying in a creative world and maybe I'm doing things wrong, I'm not sure. I am new to all of these mods but I've watched several tutorials and different builds and I just cant seem to get the grinders to consistently work. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Dlepi24
  19. I'm 22 y/o and I've been enjoying the modpack and have been streaming it a bunch, howeve,r I'd rather have others to play it with/help when it's needed. It's always better when there are others there to help with massive builds and projects. thanks, Dustin
  20. Nevermind i found the answer. I also realized there was a bug section so i apoligize.
  21. I've been trying to download the attack of the b-team modpack, but have been having troubles with the launcher. The launcher opens, but on the left side where the modpacks are located, it just says "loading". Once i click on one of the tiles, it comes up saying "offline". I read the FAQ thread and tried running the launcher as an administrator like it suggested, however, the same thing happened. I figure it may not even be with the launcher but my internet maybe? I've tried turning the firewalls off and running it but the same result. I was hoping someone could help or has some insight on the problem? Thank you, dlepi24
