post the log logs can be found when clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. If you can't open the launcher the logs can also be found inside %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> logs Paste the content on pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com and give the link.

strange that you americans should get this, since Technic team lives and hosts the launcher on US. the only people who should be getting slow launcher downloads / installs is europeans and asians since we ruled out antivirus and firewall then try step 2. Remember to reboot your PC after uninstalling java before reinstalling it

ok so, the Technic launcher is slow due to a slow site that hosts the image of Tekkit Legends. Bochen415 gave 3 options: 1 run as admin 2 reinstall java 3 try to run the linux jar file instead before you try the linux jar, can I ask which part of the world you live in? US, EU or Asia? Some parts downloads faster while others takes longer

I can't help with your computer not working, you should probably contact IT specialists. as for issues with the launcher, make a bug report on Bug Reports. Try to add some relevant information, like OS, logs, java version

so Bochen and Zaza told me that it's your scanner. at talonos.biomescanner.map.MapScanner.loadDataFile(MapScanner.java:95) go to C:\Users\(yourusername)\Appdata\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\blightfall\saves\(name of your saved world) find the scanner.dat file inside the save folder, back it up (copy and paste it on desktop) then delete it. Edit. just to clarify: delete the original file, not the backup! now try running the launcher and the game it should generate a new file for you, but you must right-click the scanner in the Jaded again
