  1. If by "premium" you mean "not stolen" then yes.
  2. Thats a good idea! I think there are some mob/creature/player detectors coming in Technic 7 that might do this as well, those I might be able to install in the ceiling.
  3. Massive amounts of nostalgia from looking at these textures. It looks just like the golden age of 16-bit, especially the game Secret of Evermore.
  4. I was planning on having turtles in a grid and each one could patrol a 16x16 area in a spiral pattern or criss cross pattern. It won't be efficient, but it should be fun. Was thinking of doing a redpower frame trap for fun too now that I understand it a bit better. Think trash compactors from Star Wars. Will that be efficient? Probably not, but it will be fun to watch.
  5. You guys did a great job with the new forums as well.
  6. I've only used BC pipes until recently and damn RP tubes are so much easier to work with not to mention faster. They cost more, but are worth it most of the time for me. Getting stuff ready to start up my first frame. Idea I have is to use a really long frame to grab and pull blocks to block destroyers rather than inch along the whole construction. Goal is to make something easy to pack up and deploy somewhere else. Computercraft's turtles are stupid powerful due to price and control (considering you're a decent LUA scripter). Just a few lines of code and I have something that digs out levels 10-15, then returns to dump everything in a filter/woodpipe and goes again. Looking forward to the next computer craft release. Turtles will directly access chests and use more tools than just the pickaxe. One of the new tools is a diamond sword. I'm going to use turtles to dig out a big underground area and then deploy my turtle soldiers to kill mobs making it a completely computercraft driven mob grinder.
  7. Re: Bugs found in Tekkit 2.0 I've somewhat fixed this with some duct tape and string. Just use your OS sound control to turn down Tekkit.
  8. Yeah I just ment to change them in the personal craft area so they would stack. They fill up inventory still.
  9. Its a craptastic mini fix but you can make crafting recipes that turn them into their normal nether ore equivalents. I haven't tried this yet though.
  10. Oh, damn that seems obvious now.
  11. Thats really not a good fix for me. :-\ I don't want to be the friendly "slab converter" for the server I'm running, but thanks for trying to help.
  12. Having the same issues as you. I haven't been as thorough as trying to find a fix but I can verify I still have the issue and these things are similar. [li]I'm OP.[/li] [li]Windows 7 64-bit[/li] [li]Logging into server via localhost (127.0.0.1)[/li] I need to try clearing cache and such, but haven't had a chance yet. The server doesn't complain (in log) when trying to stack slabs/half blocks. The removal process is a lot like when you don't have permission to mine a block or place one. The server just quickly undoes the action and it's removed/returned as soon as the next tick happens.
  13. TextEdit should work fine.
  14. Yeah you're right I wasn't thinking beyond the TT. If it were much much MUCH harder to obtain those items then it would be a little more balanced. Would you spend a diamond block to make an alchemical chest or repair talismen? Alchemical bags wouldn't be too bad, same for chests. I like some of the EE items quite a bit, but in SMP they become brutal grief tools even if griefing wasn't intended... "Sorry I accidentally used the Destruction Catalyst through your underground base." They would have to make (their) SMP a lot more balanced and that isn't something Tekkit is going to do for them. Given Thaumcraft and EE to choose between I'd like to see Thaumcraft in SMP (I know they don't have one). EE would have to be regulated far too much to not have it destroy everything. I keep "trying" to balance it in my head and its a lot of friggen work. Edit: Grammar Nazi'd my self.
  15. Ideally admin could blacklist certain transmutations or up the cost of those items. Doubling the cost of diamond and not value is a sure fire way to discourage castles of diamond blocks. EE's conversion rate of 1:1 is the real problem. It should cost something to transmute the item. Like a 10% fee for doing it. All the other mods make you pay more than the diamond is worth to get it. IC2 arguably isn't with nearly infinite power builds and such, but it is really late in the game. The transmutation table is like the second thing you get in EE.
  16. I'd like to see the mod added as well, bro. Just trying to help the OP out with the problem of obtaining diamonds for now as it was his main reason for wanting EE. EE just got a SMP release and it might be a while until it is incorporated into Tekkit.
  17. Just wanted to join the circle jerk and say thanks too. I'd throw money at you, if you'd let me. I will go and donate to the mod developers though. Great work guys, enjoying SMP 1.1.4 and Technic 6 a lot. I don't think I would have bothered with all of these excellent mods if I had to do the hard work of installing, testing, and making them all work together so nicely.
  18. It doesn't answer your question per say, but you can make diamonds with coal dust in IC2 or you can make diamonds with UU Matter in IC2.
  19. My fault if I thought (like a death in the family) was a actually a death in the family. Whatever the issue may be hope that things start to go better for them. :(
  20. I signed up for the forums just to say this. Death in the family is a much larger thing than Tekkit 2.0. Death is in short, a mother fucker and there's nothing that makes it better. My condolences and best wishes for the Technic/Tekkit team.
