  1. Use pastebin.com to upload your techniclauncher log.
  2. You appear to be having an issue with an unsupported Intel Graphics device and windows 10. This issue is common for older computers and windows 10. If your computer is a desktop, we recommend getting a dedicated graphics card, as it is a better option. If that is not possible, there is a fix: Java 8: 1.) Close the launcher. Make sure it isn't running! 2.) Download and install: https://download.uskarian.net/java/jre-8u25-windows-x64.exe 3.) Start up the launcher 4.) Launcher options -> Java settings -> Minecraft Java Version -> pick 1.8.0_25 64-Bit 5.) Attempt to launch a modpack. DO NOT update Java 8 as versions past this one do not work. OR Java 7: 1.) Close the launcher. Make sure it isn't running! 2.) Download and install: https://download.uskarian.net/java/jre-7u80-windows-x64.exe 3.) Start up the launcher 4.) Launcher options -> Java settings -> Minecraft Java Version -> pick 1.7.0_80 64-Bit 5.) Attempt to launch a modpack.
  3. Yes text boxes are white. It is killing me. Has been like this for months now. As for webpages being super slow in loading. You probably tried to load something while the site was having issues(it is usually having issues most of the time from my experience). However there is planned downtime tonight. Hopefully the slowness will be addressed. From Discord: "We will be performing maintenance on our servers at midnight tonight EDT. Maintenance is expected to last 2 hours, but may be longer. You can keep an eye on our server status at http://status.technicpack.net/ This will be affecting all of our major services. The platform and launcher will be unavailable during this time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work harder to improve the stability and performance of the whole platform." As for the forums. Nothing will be done to them afaik. The forum software is actually being replaced with Discourse, no ETA when that will be done I was informed of this months ago.

  5. Please press WindowsKey + R, copy and paste then click Ok or Run. dxdiag /dontskip /whql:on /t %UserProfile%\Desktop\DxDiag.txt Wait 1 to 2 minutes then look on your desktop for a file named DxDiag.txt Once you see it there use a website like pastebin.com to upload it and link it here.
  6. How are you logging into the Technic launcher? Did you use your email & password? Migrated accounts have to use their email. Non-migrated accounts still use their username and password. EDIT: Saw you sorted it out.
  7. It seems you have Java settings that are being stored in your OS, which are interfering with the Technic launcher. 1.) Close the Technic launcher. Do not leave it running! 2.) Please download this file: http://download.uskarian.net/technic/clearJavaEnvVars.bat 3.) Right Click on the file you just downloaded 4.) Click on Run as Administrator 5.) Make sure the script ran successfully 6.) Press any key to close the script 7.) Start the launcher again. Contents of file: ::kill any currently running java processes taskkill /f /im javaw.exe ::override user set java variables messing with launcher ::Clears the system variable _JAVA_OPTIONS setx _JAVA_OPTIONS "" /m ::Clears the local variable _JAVA_OPTIONS setx _JAVA_OPTIONS "" ::To let you know if it failed or was successful. Just press esc or enter. pause
  8. "Java SE Binary has stopped responding" or something like that? Does it also occur when trying to download a modpack (try downloading one before you respond to this)? Easy fix if you fail to download a modpack.
  9. Key part of the that login field "If using 2FA". Since you have no idea what that is. You didn't enable it on your account and thus you ignore it and leave the field empty when logging in.
  10. Yes it is. Either add a exception for *.mincraft.net or temporarily disable the antivirus while downloading packs. This is caused by the /ad/ part of the url.
  11. If the launcher does not start at all. This is almost always fixed by reinstalling you Java. Please go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and download the version for your computer. If you're using 32-bit Windows select Windows Offline. After downloading please click on the installer to install it. Try starting the launcher again. If this does not work, tell me.
  12. The launcher itself crashes? Not trying to download a modpack and starting it? Information that would be helpful: - Linux distro & version - Java version + oracle or openjdk?
  13. That's not true. Downgrades to Java should only be done if the user is running Windows 10 & an integrated Intel gpu under a certain version as they do not have dedicated drivers from Intel for Windows 10. The suggested version for them is Java 8 u25 as it is the one Mojang themselves ship. For Windows 7, users updating their gpu drivers will fix the pixel format error for them, downgrading Java versions is not needed nor will it actually fix the issue in the majority of the cases.
  14. We can't view attachments. You have to pastebin the logs.
  15. Find a different modpack. That pack appears to no longer be maintained and the download has been taken down.
  16. You don't get to choose what version of Minecraft you get to run. That's decided by the modpack author. Tekkit runs on 1.6.4 while Tekkit Lite runs on 1.4.7. You can download their premade server installs via their modpack pages on the right. If you'd like to add bukkit/spigot plugins you will need to use something like Thermos.
  17. Are you running a cracked launcher? Your log is missing information it should have.
  18. Don't post multiple times. It doesn't make anything quicker and actually makes people less likely to help. javaw.exe not being found is normal if it isn't running. Start the launcher and launch the modpack. It should work.
  19. That it does. The issue is you failed to follow step 3 & 4. You did not run the file as an administrator resulting in the script not being able to perform the needed fixes. After you follow the instructions properly. Start the launcher & launch a modpack as it should be fixed.
  20. Can you take a screenshot of the window. Then upload it to http://imgur.com/ or something
  21. Issues with the launcher not starting is almost certainly an issue with a broken or nonexistent install of Java. In order to download Java 64-Bit, please go http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and download the version for your computer. If you're using Windows, please use the version Windows Offline (64-Bit). After downloading the Java installer. Please click on the installer to install it. Then try starting the launcher again.
