A better idea would probably be to selectively remove the mod(s) from Technic SSP that is/are causing lag and/or that you just don't like. Start with Millenaire and MoCreatures. To remove mods go to %appdata%\.techniclauncher\technicssp\config and open ModLoader.cfg with a text editor. Find the offending mods and change from on to off

I'm sure these people crying over copyright have never listened to an .mp3 without first asking the consent of the artist/owner about the method of distribution. Or hell, any possible piece of sound, motion picture, or even photograph that wasn't authorized first. Cuz you know, it's pretty cut and dry that if the author didn't give consent, then you must assume they don't approve. I mean artists don't want just anyone viewing and enjoying their work, you have to enjoy it in the exact way they intend. :rolleyes:

yeah railcraft rocks. What a cool mod, I always add it to the yog box (as easy as downloading the applicable version of RC, dropping it into mods folder, let cool, enjoy)

I think you have to place the actual generator first before you can place any chamber blocks.

I've built multiple peat bogs with this version of tekkit with no problems. Like DragnHntr said, make sure you've loaded it with bog earth and also check above the peat bog area. When initially placing the blocks, the peat bog will try to clear a large area above the bog. I think it's like 10 blocks, so it might take a minute or so until the machine has checked that area before it starts laying down bog earth.

My understanding of most of the haters' problems with the technic pack is that you don't have to go through all the ad.fly and ad.craft BULL SHIT to download the mods, therefore you are somehow "stealing" it by bypassing the few cents the mod creator gets from the ad-supported links. I'm sure many of these haters user ad blockers, bit torrent, etc without a second thought. It's sad that Minecraft is the only gaming community I've seen embrace these terrible ad links, but hey I'm just a freeloader.

Well I wasn't sure if this was related to the specific server I was playing on or not so I loaded up Tekkit in SP and cheated myself the materials to get going and I still wasn't able to produce the iodine capsules from the recipe given on the Forestry wiki until I found the "right" kind of tin ingot. It looks like this bug is related to the Thermopile bug where you have to use the right kind of ingot. In this case it is the tin ingot with item ID 5260 Also, sorry to everyone for all the time I have wasted by posting in another thread. I didn't mean to have a moderator post in this thread to point out to everyone how stupid I was. Anyway I am hoping that this information can later assist someone as they too try to create an iodine capsule to charge a rainmaker to act as a water source. But I definitely know not to post in other people's threads about something so tangentially unrelated. Thank you all for your time! signed.... oops I know better than to sign my own post!

Were you able to make the iodine capsules needed for the rainmaker? I don't seem to be able to. I put the ingots in the carpenter as noted here http://forestry.sengir.net/wiki/index.php?n=Items.IodineCapsule but nothing happens.
