  1. Your brain has a remarkable ability to soak up random trivia. It takes years of people avoiding you like the plague for you to realize that most people don't care how much surface area each moon of Jupiter has. I wish for a powersuit in real life.
  2. VoxelMenu adds just that, so you might try decompiling it to see. You might try the Forge forums, since more knowledgeable modders are likely to be there.
  3. http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/Containers_and_GUIs See the "Buttons" section.
  4. Sounds like a good plan. Maybe use blacklist and whitelist markers that go in the first slot of a chest, made with, say, a carriage crosspiece and ink sac/bonemeal?

    Tekkit GUI

http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/bukkitgui/pages/help/quick-install-guide/ See the part about if you already have a local server, but leave the server type as generic Java, not Bukkit.
  6. Suppose a blacklisted block is somewhere it would normally be picked up. Does it cancel creation of the ship or is the block ignored? If ignored, you could blacklist blocks in the config to make them move everything except the selected blocks.
  7. You're right, it works fine with a vanilla server.
  8. Something in the mod doesn't work with the deobf mapping my server uses. (Crash log here.) What Forge version are you building against?

    Tekkit GUI

BukkitGUI would probably work just fine using MCPC+.
  10. By not being corrupted, the thread must be abandoned. A guest user, reading over the forums, is so upset that he flies into an uncontrollable rage. This user hires a hit man to kill you to avenge the Corrupt-A-Wish thread of the Technic Forums. I wish for a tool that could tell me what item IDs are used (and what IDs reused) in a modpack.
  11. You might try a later Forge version? It looks like the method isn't being properly deobfuscated in your Forge version.
  12. I would be surprised if FTB made something like the Platform. Their whole deal is about respecting modders' permissions and allowing anyone to make and distribute a modpack would require a lot of effort to check permissions and approve packs.
  13. It doesn't seem like the sort of mod that adds recipes; maybe it doesn't add any. Sometimes monsters or spawners drop them. I don't think there are any passive mobs, since the point of the mod is combat and it isn't much fun unless your foes fight back. If you get a coin item, throw it on the ground and pick it up. NPC villagers will sell you stuff for coins, when you find a village.
  14. I use Minecraft on Ubuntu 12.04 and to get anything to work I have to update my LWJGL. There are plenty of tutorials around.
  15. Use a later Forge build maybe?
  16. I'm pretty sure RSIM won't work for elevators, since as far as I remember the moving blocks have no collision boxes. Keep an eye on the mod, since Jakj is quick to add features and will probably be back on RSIM after finishing his other mod.
  17. The Technic team is changing something on the website, leaving it temporarily broken. Try again later, I guess.
  18. You could try 1G RAM.
  19. Do you have Internet access? Is a firewall blocking the Technic Launcher?
  20. ID Resolver might be breaking things. Tell your friend to remove ID Resolver and do the configs himself, or else ask for the pack in the modpack request thread.
  21. Try allocating 1G RAM to the launcher, or 2G if the pack is huge. Given too much RAM Java holds off on cleaning stuff up for longer and performance takes a hit.
  22. You haven't said what you want to do or what is going wrong. No one can help you unless you do.
  23. No, there aren't. IC2 hasn't had a full release since last December, so the Technic team decided to move on without it.
  24. 1.5.2 won't work? The first link has a 1.5.2 version.
