This usually happens when you've organized the file structure of your pack incorrectly. It can't find the mods. Sometimes it's as simple as everything being an extra layer too deep in folders.

Naw I think you're thinking of DNS Techpack or whatever. Can't remember. They tried to do what FTB did to get a leg up in exposure but had considerably less success with it.

Thank you Cheap Shot, that worked brilliantly. Now what about the 1.6 update, is their a guess as to how long it takes to be able to play with that using the launcher?

As for the 1.6 update, not any time soon. All mods in each pack would have to update to 1.6 before the packs can update. I'm not super impressed with the MC update as usual either. A few things caught my eye, Item stats displayed is long overdue and the buff system sounds like it could be interesting. These things would benefit Hexxit if they turn out to be decent. Also carpets? I'd like carpets I think.
The scaling mob difficulty I bet will be a huge disaster. Having it so difficulty scales up the longer you stay in one place in a game where people primarily pick one place and build stuff is completely idiotic. It should be that things get more difficult the further you travel, without question. Horses look stupid too, and apparently are buggy and obnoxious.

Thank you to all that answered. One last question if you all don't mind, does any one else get a window that asks for you to play in of line mode. I get that when launch the game. Just curious if any one gets that now?

Try running the launcher in admin mode. Right click, run as admin.

The minecraft launcher has no effect on the Technic launcher
Vanilla 1.6 will be available once the md5 is added to the file (AFAIK)
As for any of the packs hitting 1.6
Wait for Forge to update, then for the mod authors to update, then wait for the team to update
Not true actually. Changes in 1.6 mean a lot of boring tedious work for Olloth in our launcher.

I... guess. To be honest, I've not been to SA all that much, just know that moot split off from there, and thus made apparently incorrect assumptions.
4chan and SA are night and day.

Many people on these forums come from communities with... less than desirable... behavior. I am talking about SA and the various chans, mostly. Seeing as I am one of those, I do feel like there is a certain amount of self-restraint required to prevent oneself from calling others homosexuals or whatever. Not everyone is as adapt at this as me, though, so you see people getting annoyed and angry at minor things.
SA has excellent overall behavior. The fear of losing a 10 dollar account due to harsh and merciless moderation has that effect. Our forums rules and moderation are modeled after SA.

I'd prefer a certain kind of atmosphere but unfortunately many of our users are very young. They see older and more clever posters poking fun at people who deserve it, and imitate as best they can, as often as they can

Overall because of the tough attitude on low effort posting, we have a much higher quality of discussion and intelligence around here than other minecraft forums, so that's wonderful, but it's of course a trade off. I prefer it here personally. Much less crowd mentality, sucking up (with exceptions) and unintelligible posting. Every time I go back to check up on MCF I remember why I hate it so much, and how much I appreciate this place, despite it's rougher edges.Generally, if someone reads the rules before posting, and puts thought and effort in, they are safe from whatever idiots think they're being hilarious. If someone takes the time to get to know where things are supposed to be posted before posting them, then they won't get any trouble at all. Many people don't bother with those things, and that's why you see the rudeness. Very much an eye for an eye mentality. Rude to rude.

You'll have to explain the parts you feel I didn't read properly. To my dull childlike intellect it just appeared that you were being an annoying entitled moron. Silly me! To the untrained eyes of every single person who read your post, it created the illusion of you calling for the removal of an awesome mod because your servers players are all immature and needy. It also tricked everyone quite soundly into believing that you felt the whole mod should be scrapped from Tekkit because the already large amount of content if offers isn't enough for you. The potential for many more planets exists and is being worked on so no one should even play it until then, for _______ reasons.
Of course that's just what I and everyone else ever thinks. Clearly we've got you all wrong. You're defiantly not an annoying and unpleasant (wo)(man)child with incorrect, indefensibly wrong opinions. We must have all just not actually read anything you said.
So please, educate us. Pretend you're not on thin ice. Shouldn't be hard, you've just said you're good at pretending.

Exactly my point... Galactic Craft can be good, but it currently offers nothing other then wasting resources. And again, I am getting sick of all these kids begging for rockets, then when they get to the moon they complain about nothing being there.
If you took it as me saying I want Galactic Craft done yesterday. I suggest you get some glasses and reread my post.

I'm more hoping they remove Galactic craft at this point. I'm getting sick of seeing people complain about there being only one planet, or if someone can give them a rocket, or if they can have free invar for said rocket.
And because it's not even near completion! Just the fact the they bothered to make a modpack that featured it surprises me. Could have just named it Tekkit Lite'r. Be the same as Tekkit Lite, except no IC2 or RP2, newer version of MC, and actually works on older computers.
Also, there is enough power generation with just Steam and Magmatic engines. Although, I believe Harvester may be bugged. That or Harvesters are suppose to eat 2.4M MJ in less then 5 minutes on constant running. And that is with 18 Steam and 12 Magmatic engines feeding the Energy Cells.
