Actually American, while its original meaning was to identify with the continent, has now developed the connotation of being a citizen of the United States of America. I am not American, I am Canadian. I have nothing against Americans (as you seem to) In fact I live less than an hour away from the border and love visiting and seeing my friends in America. If you had said North American, I would agree, I am a resident of the aforementioned continent. Because you are expected to have the general wherewithal to understand that if there is a section for Tekkit and a section for Technic, there is likely a difference. Also, if you had searched around for common issues to see if there was a solution you would have noticed the distinction being made. Even if you did not understand that, when we asked you to post in the correct section you should have realised that. So I was right you are a masochist. See the brides post for proof that there has been a solution. This guy posted a bug report with plenty of info regarding what he had already tried, a nice description of the problem, etc. and then I was able to solve his problem. I have seen him around the forums and he seems to be enjoying himself. You on the other hand can't let it go and continue to post on random bug reports whining about the "service" here. In a word, yes. If you are too lazy to read the stickys, it is very likely that you will simply be wasting our time. They are there for a reason. Yes, but those are the minimum for Minecraft and the mods put a lot of extra strain on your machine. That and updates may add a mod that just pushes it over the edge and your comp can't run it.

I could say the same thing to you. I can link you dozens of separate posts where either me or the bride have successfully solved someones problem (most of the time, by telling them to reinstall, turn of AV's, etc.)

I just did.... Click on the link I put above Click on the thrid button (the one that says Linux/Jar) If you used Internet Explorer change the file name from .zip to .jar Double click the .jar file to run the launcher

I am getting a “Technic Launcher has Stopped Working Error”! If your launcher is encountering this error, a solution is to download the .jar file from http://www.technicpack.net/download/ (pick the third from the left (Linux/Jar)). If you are using Internet Explorer you will also need to change the file extension (the ending of the file) to .jar instead of .zip. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is double-click on the file to run the launcher.

Pretty sure he wants to use the Launcher but can't. The info about the other mods was to show that he had used them on his computer before. Is the issue that the pack is not downloading or not launching

It is just coincidence that the mods without Metadata are not working. It doesn't mean that you don't have an issue, just that that is not what is causing it. Post your log and we can help more. Also what version of Java are you using?

Wrong section, you want the modpack section (Tekkit or Technic Bugs) It sounds like it may be a know issue with certain BC pipes that reset the Chunk to the way it was when it was created. Don't believe there is a fix.

... The issue is even in your own bug report! You have 32bit Java and a 64bit OS. Get 64bit Java.
