  1. Upgrade your java, thats saying your using a java below the version used to compile netherores.
  2. I deny it because its "creative mode without the guilt of creative mode" making 90% of the challenge of tekkit pointless. after a week you got diamond chests full of everything. if you could slow down collectors rate beyond the lowest setting available to be set now..that would be good.
  3. Yes, the forums here is no place to dispute a ban on a server we have no control over (we as in the people that read the thread..not implying 'we' as I'm part of in the forum mods).
  4. Cant find any sites for the modem at all, that deal with its setup. But Im thinking its not the modem. if it worked before. Its probably some peice of software/pre-install/bloatware that came with the PC. Since you have mcafee on it and it came with it. there is probably other protection/access program 'software' on it blocking it. New pc's are HORRIBLE for coming with 4000 programs you dont need pre-installed in the hopes that you like it and will buy the full version.
  5. Hmm thats tricky, it looks like its some special ADSL model just for your ISP. Cant find crap about documentation for it :\
  6. Mcafee shouldn't be blocking internet data. (as a side note, mcafee is horrible bloat ware, try MSE or such..just my 2 cents)
  7. does source port give you the option of 'any'? what router is it Ill look it up, hard to tell without knowing..for every router the interface can be different.
  8. shouldn't have a 'source ports' option. if you have DMZ try that..if not see if you have a 'port range' forwarding..and try it in there..setting 25565 and 25565 as the min and max
  9. Do this..find the 'dmz' setting in your router, set the 192.168.100.18 to the 'dmz' IP in there and apply it. IF that doesnt make it work, its soemthing on the machine itself stopping it. DMZ makes that IP open to everything incoming. bypassing the routers filters and 'routes'
  10. Hmm that should be it then. Only other thing I can think of is windows firewall, or if you got something like notron security or such installed fighting with it.
  11. and thats what you have set in the router for the port 25565 to forward to correct? and these are what are in your server.properties? server-port=25565 server-ip=
  12. If you can connect with the 192. IP yourself fine..but not the 91. one...the only difference is if the router lets it in. You sure the IP of the machine its hosted on is 192.168.100.18? goto start run and type 'ipconfig' and hit enter on the machine the server is running on..see if that matches.
  13. There is a lot of problems with windows firewall (in general..not tekkit related ) Its one of the first things I turn off when installing windows, along with UAC and all that. The way I see it, it only stops reallllly basic things. which my router does already. and anyone that could manage to get past my router, that cheap firewall it comes with wont stop them either. On top of that, its annoying when popping up everytime I add something new asking if I want to allow it. IF it does run into an issue, it SHOULD pop up and ask if you want to allow the tekkit server to go out. Just tell it 'yes' for everything on it.
  14. goto multiplayer, 'add server' and put in your 91.(whatever) IP You can just use the 192.(whatever) for yourself, and it will work. Just me personally I like to use the external IP, so I know if it goes down on the network, or router flakes out, I can see I cant login either.
  15. Port forward 25565 to IP 192.168.100.18 in router Start tekkit server Add 91.152.213.250 IP to YOUR client, so it goes out to net and back in looking for it and make sure it works. Give friends the 91.152.213.250 IP enjoy playing with others :)
  16. You have any permissions plugins, or restriction ones like towny, resident, world guard..etc? it might need permissions in certain areas if you do. or are you building it 'at spawn' within the spawn protection radius?
  17. leave the server.properties line blank, you dont need it. Only really need it when there is more than one IP (more than one network card) to bind to on a machine, so it knows which one and in your router port forward 25565 to 192.168.100.18
  18. Your friends cant use that IP, that's your internal IP. only if they are hooked to your router can that 192.168.100.18 work. you need your internet IP to give them.
  19. IF bandwidth, and CPU load isnt an issue and only the ram..best I can say is this: It varies wildly, depending on how many/what kind/the settings of plugins you would also add. Also on what you allow to be done on the server, such as people can have 20 quarries with automated sorting/mac/smelt/crafting on each one for example. or Massive EE automated farm-transmute setups. if its all out, anything goes, id Say maybe 5-10? I know on mine if the 4 heaviest automating players are all on at the same time and everything they have is loaded and running, I hover around 1g used.
  20. Yes, sadly it seems so. I've dug all around in every cfg I can find even remotely related to it, and seems it coded for the ratio's..oh well Seems I'll have to use the explosion chance as an equalizer, just upping the "risk vs reward" since I cant change the reward...might as well up the risk.
  21. yes, one of the reasons why Im trying to reduce the count gotten while on a mining run. I don't want to take the satisfaction of getting more ore per block away from the players, as they risked the nether to get it. And disabling macerators for that ore would do that. as then they would get only 1 per block. Just getting less blocks per trip is what i'm after :)
  22. No, I was asking if its adjustable to the flavor preference of the server, not on if someone that doesnt play on my server enjoys it with its current settings... Let me rephrase the questions so that you can understand it more clearly: With Nether Ores being a mining alternative to the main world, is the ratio at which they spawn able to be tweaked to fit the preferences of the players on said server, be it adding MORE or LESS ores, in a config setting...
  23. Never said it was about them being rich. And its not a duping issue, Its also my experience personally with the nether ores. Doing a test mining in nether for 3 hours a day, for 4 days to get an average, vs world. After macerating and smelting I had 3x the ore from nether than world. And its not a matter of its being 'op' for everyone, its a personal view that applies to my server only and the gameplay/theme we have going on, and may differ from server to server. Why I asked if its adjustable. I was merely asking if anyone knew where or if it was, not if someone has input to on the wealth of the players on my server, and possible exploits I should check. But I appreciate your effort to dismiss it by avoiding the question at hand, and reply with a "your admining it wrong, it must be dupes your not catching" as a reply.
  24. I went the easy route, A transposer in front of the "collection chest", running down a tube down the middle of my chestroom ceiling..with a filter above each chest to sort into.. So I can sort up to 9 things into one chest (usually I dont like more than 9 different things in a chest anyway..gets confusing to find). The chests at the far end have nothing in the fliters..so they are "things not sorted yet" junk drawer of sorts..only things not setup yet make it to the end to figure out where to put them later. Also saves me from needing redpower for sorters..no wire/cable/power needed (just a timer on the 'send chest' to pull from it) Plus This way I can grow it longer, just add more pipe to the end and slap down more chest.
