  1. i5-2500, crappy nVidia 210 GPU, and 8 GB of pny ram.
  2. It's really a consumer built pro, and it runs amazingly well. Funny that windows doesn't have drivers for my stuff built in, but OSX does. Odd, considering OSX isn't supposed to work.
  3. Except, when you build the dang thing, it's cheaper than an OEM pc, OR building it and installing Windows.
  4. Mine looks like a PC, it's silver/black.
  5. Because some people A: Like OSX, B: are married to the ecosystem, or C: Both. (I'm C)
  6. Kind of. Look at http://www.tonymacx86.com for supported builds, which generally use PC hardware, and a tutorial to install. The couple issues are that this is not for the technically inadept, or even semi-adept. It is kind of difficult and a partial pain to maintain. Apart from the parts, you need an 8 GB flash drive, and patience. EDIT: I'd be happy to PM you a recommended build, by my standards. EDIT EDIT: You also might want a way to back up your data, just sayin'.
  7. Forestry would be awesome, but no-one really uses ct3. Battlegear mod support would be awesome :)
  8. Linear for the first part.. Use the diamonds to get quarries and UU. Boom. Exponential growth. Also, it is linear, but largely so. Edit: Also, free stuff is free stuff.
  9. Ok, first things first, I am not attempting to start a flame war. With that out of the way, I'll get started. When I first got into Tekkit/Technic, I was playing on a no-EE server called Jono20201, I think. This server had votifier, and it would give 2 diamonds for every vote. This was when the minestatus promotion was in effect. Every day, you would get 4 diamonds from MineStatus and 2 diamonds from TekkitServerList. If you worked in a partnership, or had alt accounts, this could lead to huge gain in resources, which was the reason EE was disabled in the first place. If the server was attempting to have a relatively stable economy, this ruined it. This same thing applies to any servers that give rare/large rewards for voting and have either an economy or EE disabled. I feel that this may drive people who are looking for balanced gameplay away because, as shown, Votifier is as bad as EE.
  10. Doesn't matter. We can still discuss vanilla things for an argument.
  11. Let me ship you one of my dad's ten thousand extra macs. Seriously, very good computers can be built for cheap, and if you are married to Mac OS, you can do that too.
  12. Not on PPC.
  13. I meant the complex part of it was if you were using different destinations. As of now, it's very simple, but with boosters, it was more complex.
  14. Unrealistic, but really added to the game. Sorry about that. It encouraged people to have large complex setups, over "I need my cart to go, let's just get redstone power!."
  15. Noope. PowerPC is YEARS old, why should they support it?
  16. *ahem* Minecart Boosters/Boat superspeed much? *ahem*
  17. Sure. Here it is: The line flashes forward for a split second occasionally, and the store it's powering is going very slowly.
  18. Nope, because if I feed it from an adjustable electric engine it fills. Also, the energy gets stuck before hitting the first gold pipe. (Conductive)
  19. I tried both, nothing.
  20. Person 2 is semi-correct. Tekkit loads what is near a person, and what is near chunk-loaders.
  21. I had an idea that the transmutation tablet should charge 75 or so EMC to learn an item. This could be accomplished by making the burn slot produce EMC without learning items, and the left grid will transmute and charge emc to learn the item if needed. I don't know crap about java, so I can't code this myself.
  22. That would mean no more Whale Box threads! Aww.
  23. Does mental illness include stupidity?
  24. More like 60 to 85. It gets humid in new England.
  25. I live in a smallish Farmington Valley town, that happens to host the biggest air show in New England. (That's really the only exciting thing that happens, but there's a little more.)
