  1. says the man who complains that the minecraft code is ass-backwards. I've looked at it once or twice, just out of curiosity and becasue i was considering making a mod. The way notch (and jeb) has written minecraft is just amazingly fucked up. I'm not that good of a programmer, but even I could see that he was making it do things that it didn't need to do, and in such convoluted ways. I haven't looked at the code since jeb did all that optimization to make things run faster, but i bet that alot of it was fixing all the screwed up code that notch put in.

  3. the short answer to your question is no. the long answer (which I can't give at the moment, on a phone) deals with the fact that a) there are no mods for minecraft for xbox360, so therefore, no modpacks 2) unless the incredibly improbable (some would say impossible) happens, there will never be mods for any games for xbox360. or xbox, playstation 3, wii, or any number of other consoles on the market. mods are something that are unique to pc gaming, for a number if reasons. •if somehow, you did make a modpack for minecraft xbox360, distributing it would require users to hack their xbox360's, voiding the waranty so in short, there will NEVER, as in less likely than forestry coming back to tekkit/technic, as in less likely than flowerchild using forge, be a mod or modpack for minecraft for xbox360.
  4. so while i've been sitting here waiting for the light rail (Phoenix metro for the win!) I thought of a way we could mass produce and sell armour from iron to quantum (without using ee). there would even. be a way to sell things while we are offline, as i thought up a way to make sure people pay the right amount. it would be pretty tricky to set up, with the main concern being that it would be hard to guard the transport line (gonna have the armour made at a remote base, then shipped to the shop) against griefers and thieves. maybe have andrew spawn us in some bedrock to shield the line? if not, we could Always use several layers of reinforced stone. we might even be able to use force field if we're clever. thanks for the compliment superg, but really, I'm not that good at design. there are plenty if people who can do better than me, and I take alot of my unspiration from them (the castle i want to build is probably 80% the same as duncan's. I am literally ripping off his design almost block for block, with a few of my own changes thrown in [most of my design changes to duncan's castle are ripped off from direwolf20 {who knew that 9x9's could look so apealing, or be so symmetrically perfect?} and the pahicraft server])

  7. They pushed modding API back again? Seriously, I respect Mojang, and all the new features that jeb and co have added since notch left are great and all, but they need to stop adding in pointless features (like item frames and pumpkin pie, to name a few) and get working on modding API. And even when it comes out, it will more likely than not be a piece if crap, and everyone willcontinue to use forge (except for flower child. minecraft modding would be twenty times better and less toxic if he had never been born [he is the anti-christ of mc modding, wherever he goes, discord and hate follow. plus he's a bad coder]. but this isn't about flower child). the best thing mojang could do, is to implment forge into vanilla mc. that, and fix the giant mess of bass-ackwards code that notch left them.

  13. Yeah, I know, first world problems. But it is really annoying to have seceral minutes if typing disapear in half a second because a smartphone refuses to work properly. I love my iPhone, but i sometimes wish it wasn't so prone to deleting my posts before I have a chance to post them.

When I'm sane (which is most of the time) I just utter a mental Fuck you iPhone.

(I had a long, well thought out post written, but my aunt wanted to get a picture of me with my grandma and my second cousin arvin [not a spelling error, his name is arvin, poor kid] and I put my phone in my pocket, and when I pulled it out, most of my post had been deleted [stupid goddamn touch screen]. So instead of rewriting my post [which I'm not sure I could do anyways, as I've forgotten most of it] I decided to post why there is no long thought out post.)
  16. Thanks. I was actually thinking about a drawbridge/gate earlier. (The one problem with making a draft of the castle in pocket edition is the lack of block choices. I ended up doing what direwolf20 does and marked out where machines and such would go with cobblestone.) maybe the castle could be a research division of quantum enterprises? the main problem will be finding a location to put the castle. start looking for relatively flat areas that are about 64x64 (this is a guestimate, I need to count the length and width later, but it will be around that size). I'm at the wedding reception right now watching my very drunk extended family try to dance the electric slide.
  17. as an addon to the automated hv solar array favtory, make a machine using red power frames, motors, and deployers,that automatically places the solar arrays and a cable connecting them to an mfsu. bonus points if the power goes towards producing more uu-mater for making more hv solars. extra bonus points if you can make the production of hv solars increase exponentially. For a good example, go watch direwolf20's videos about ChickenBone's auto hv solar maker and placer (it will be in one of the smp videos.)
  18. In fact, even if Pahimar dies, Equivalent Exchange development would continue, as the original developer of the mod (x3n0ph0b3 [think I spelled it right, but I could be wrong, as he spells it weird]) would take over developement. Developement would be significantly delayed though.
  19. Not cool dude. Let me explain why a) he is on a server. If he actually followed your advice, there would be a great big hole in this server. 2) your only supposed to troll stuid people who don't read the stickies. This person is asking why his reactor won't work, and has supplied pictures and a description of his problem. He is not submiting a bug report, so he doesn't have to follow the bug report guidelines. So unless yoir just a jerk, there is no reason to troll him like that.
  20. Where did i not use proper spelling and grammar? Also, the last paragraph was meant to be my opinion, based on the facts provided above. It was not meant to be taken as fact. As for statistics, I didn't have any available (I'm also on a phone, so tabbing out to pull up statistics is impractical/impossible, depending on whether the page decides to reload or not while I'm tabbed out). When I'm back home (I'm currently traveling) at my computer, I'll post a long list of reasons, supported by facts and expert opinion, about Equivalent Exchange 2 and why it is over powered, and give an opinion on what should be done about that. I enjoyed reading your counter-arguement, as it is always enjoyable to engage in an intelligent debate with intelligent, civilised people.
  21. @Deimos I wasn't suggestin those mods, I was stating that I hoped that they would be in tekkit (which they probably will be, because of 1.3 unifying SSP and SMP). The op was asking what mods would be in the next update. I stated what mods I would like and think would be in tekkit.
  22. I'm hoping that they finally add SparkleFartz mod. On a serious note, portal gun mod would be a really cool addition, along with the GraviSuit addon for IC2. I'd also like these mods to be added to tekkit, since they are already in technic (although tekkit and technic may become the same thing with 1.3 unifying SSP and SMP): Mystcraft (already mutiplayer) Logistics Pipes (will be multiplayer) Thaumcraft (will be multiplayer) It would also be nice if there was a blutricity (Red Power 2) to EU (Industrial Craft 2 ) power converter (don't know if one already exsist or not).
  23. I didn't intend my comments to be hostile. I was stating my opinion about why I don't like EE (on a survival server). I was also stating that the mod is overpowered. If you want facts, here they are: •Pahimar, the developer of Equivalent Exchange 2 has stated that Equivalent Exchange 2 is overpowered •Pahimar has stated that Equivalent Exchange 3 will mostly be about balance •Equivalent Exchange 2 power items grant abilities above and beyond Creative Mode •Equivalent Exchange 2 Energy Collectors and "Power Flowers" create EMC out of nothing, and create EMC faster depending on light level •A "Power Flower" can replicate itself at an exponetial rate •Equivalent Exchange 2 power items can be used for griefing, as they bypass protection plugins (and require another plugin or a patch to the existing plugin to counteract) •Equivalent Exchange 2 tools never break and require no recharging or fuel (some special features of tools do require fuel, but the defualt behavior [a pickaxe breaking one block of stone for example] does not) In closing, my assement of Equivalent Exchange 2 is this: The core idea of Equivalent Exchange 2 (transmuting items into other items of equal value) is great, but it us poorly implemented, and the power items make finding and obtaining high value items too easy, while collectors make it possible to generate items out of nothing. On its own, Equivalent Exchange 2 is a great mod, but when inplemented into a modpack "as is" (without changing EMC values, no items disabled [all things that can be done in the configuration files, requiring no tinkering with the source]) Equivalent Exchange 2 becomes game breaking, rendering aspects of many mods obsolete or pointless. Why build a computer controlled flying quarry using Red Power 2 if you can make items out of nothing? In short, Equivalent Exchange 2 does not belong in a modpack unless it undergoes massive changes (which may be coming in Equivalent Exchange 3) by either the developer or by modpack makers.
  24. Hey guys. Just thought I'd check in real quick before the wedding starts. Seeing the companies available, I think I'd like to join Quantum Enterprises. Me and superg have workes together well in the past, and I actually have a plan for a castle that will actually work. (I built it using pocket edition on my iPad while I was on the plane).
