Curious - what mod are you using to do your world border? I've been unable to find a good non-bukkit based world border mod.

Apologies for not getting back to this forum for nearly a month. All applications to this point are whitelisted. Further applications are closed and the OP has been updated to reflect that. All currently whitelisted players can contact me directly if they would like me to add a friend to the whitelist.

the_end world directory 127mb - no player ever visited the_end...
Gunre replied to Gunre's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Update again- Turning off the_end at first did not appear to break anything, but apparently something with (at least) the transmutation tablet requires the_end to be on, because using the tablet only half works with the_end set to false in bukkit.yml. Item's cannot be targeted for creation in the right pane of the gui, but turning items into emc still works, and transmutation from displayed items in the right gui still works. Weird O.o -
I'm not sure how it compares to the other options out there, but I use Simple Backup and it works well enough for me.

the_end world directory 127mb - no player ever visited the_end...
Gunre replied to Gunre's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
An update on this- I still have no idea what the source of the_end bloat is, but I think it was still occurring after deleting the_end and removing a suspect plugin. After deleting the_end, the size of the newly generated the_end world was 2.5mb, and /mem showed it using 625 chunks. Over the course of 24 hours, with no player interaction in the end, the world size had grown by 2mb, and the chunk usage had grown by around 100 chunks. I have now disabled the_end in bukkit.yml :| After disabling it and restarting the server, typical post startup java.exe cpu usage is down by around 30% So, yeah, still no clue whats up with it, but I'm leaving the_end turned off. -
Not sure if this should be on this forum or the Tekkit bug board... sorry if it's in the wrong spot. Today I was tracking down why my Tekkit server was using up all available ram, and ran acrossed the bukkit /mem command. Here is what it output: Current TPS = 32 Maximum memory: 5,086 MB Allocated memory: 5,086 MB Free memory: 490 MB World "world1": 1369chunks,363entities World "world1_the_end": 6091chunks,70entities Nether "world1_nether": 220chunks,81entities I'm still not sure if that output is listing total chunks for the world or loaded chunks, but I suspect that its loaded chunks. In either case, the_end has 6091 chunks? wtf? No player on my server has even been to the end. I took a look at the_end directory tree and it was 127mb. I watched file activity for a while and region files in the_end directory were being written to an awful lot. Has anyone ever seen the_end balloon in size like this with no player interaction? My bukkit plugin setup is similar (same but trimmed down) to my previous non-tekkit server, and I never saw this issue, which makes me wonder if a tekkit mod is involved. Here are my bukkit plugins: cenotaph cityworld (only handles worldgen for the normal world) essentials/essentialsspawn lockette modifyworld/pex nethrar simplebackup towny/townychat worldedit worldguard vault register questioner

Using Tekkit with Terrain Gen Plugins
Gunre replied to mazejaker's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Really good info here about Terrain Control specifically, but if anyone wants to use other world generators, you can use a mod like OreRate to add Tekkit ores/blocks, and rubber saplings to pretty much any generator. Also, if anyone is interested, the CityWorld generator has built in rudimentary Tekkit support. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/cityworld/ It will do tekkit ores, rubber trees (it places saplings), and oil. If you're willing to do some poking through the plugin's code it's pretty straightforward to customize further as well. I'm running a customized branch on my server (github) -
Server IP moonworld.dyndns.org:27777 Server Overview We are a small server that has been private for a long time. We switched to Tekkit in August 2012 and I would like to expand our player base with some mature players. The current map has been running since early August 2012 and uses a Tekkit customized version of the CityWorld generator (found on BukkitDev) which generates a world full of procedurally generated ruined cities amongst wilderness and enormous mountains. The world is quite different from the vanilla generator, and along with the cities there are rare and interesting locations to discover. The server is self hosted in the Central U.S. on semi-dedicated 5mb connection PvE difficulty is set to Hard I'm anti-cheap-teleport, so all mod based teleport commands like /home are unavailable. The IC2 teleporter is available however. Server uptime is close to 24/7, with occasional brief maintenance downtime on weekday mornings (CDT). An additional document I wrote up to help my players get started with Tekkit and understand the mods on the server can be found here. Server Rules Play however you want, explore this unusual world, build big, build small, whatever you want to do for fun. If you find unlocked containers, it's considered fair game unless its clearly in someone house/base. No purposely griefing/destroying/impeding other players builds or building machine setups that screw up server performance (a quarry outputting items to the world for example) PvP is allowed, but corpse camping and repeated non-consensual killing is not. Don't be a dick, basically. Bukkit Plugins Cityworld Cenotaph Lockette Towny PEX Essentials, EssentialsEco Tekkit Alterations Block breakers cannot break cobblestone. Most of EE is disabled (tablet, dust, bags, rods are available) Wireless redstone has been disabled. BC teleport pipes (power and liquid) are disabled. Player Application Applications are closed, sorry!

Blocking what the Redpower Deployer can deploy
Gunre replied to Gunre's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
In my test the blacklist worked fine for simple block ids, but I did not test an EE item like 128:1. However, I am successfully blacklisting EE items through the deployer with modifyworld. In the RP2 config file I set fakeplayer login=1. I have [redpower] op'd. I'm not clear if these are necessary to make it work, but In my permissionsEx config file I have: superperms: allow-ops: false strict-mode: true And in the permissions file I have: users: '[RedPower]': group: - rpfakeplayer and: groups: rpfakeplayer: default: false permissions: - -modifyworld.items.(craft|drop|have|pickup|place|use).(128:1|126:?*|129|137:3|169|190:7|194:1|4303:?*|4304:?*|4305:?*|27527:?*|27528:?*|27529:?*|27530:?*|27531:?*|27532:?*|27533:?*|27534:?*|27535:?*|27536:?*|27537:?*|27538:?*|27541:?*|27543:?*|27544:?*|27545:?*|27546:?*|27547:?*|27548:?*|27549:?*|27550:?*|27551:?|27552:?*|27553:?*|27555:?*|27556:?*|27558:?*|27559:?*|27560:?*|27561:?*|27563:?*|27564:?*|27565:?*|27566:?*|27567:?*|27568:?*|27569:?*|27570:?*|27571:?*|27572:?*|27573:?*|27574:?*|27575:?*|27576:?*|27577:?*|27578:?*|27579:?*|27580:?*|27581:?*|27582:?*|27583:?*|27584:?*|27588:?*|27589:?*|27590:?*|27591:?*|27593:?*|27594:?*) - -modifyworld.blocks.(place|interact|destroy).(128:1|126:?*|129|137:3|169|190:7|194:1|4303:?*|4304:?*|4305:?*|27527:?*|27528:?*|27529:?*|27530:?*|27531:?*|27532:?*|27533:?*|27534:?*|27535:?*|27536:?*|27537:?*|27538:?*|27541:?*|27543:?*|27544:?*|27545:?*|27546:?*|27547:?*|27548:?*|27549:?*|27550:?*|27551:?|27552:?*|27553:?*|27555:?*|27556:?*|27558:?*|27559:?*|27560:?*|27561:?*|27563:?*|27564:?*|27565:?*|27566:?*|27567:?*|27568:?*|27569:?*|27570:?*|27571:?*|27572:?*|27573:?*|27574:?*|27575:?*|27576:?*|27577:?*|27578:?*|27579:?*|27580:?*|27581:?*|27582:?*|27583:?*|27584:?*|27588:?*|27589:?*|27590:?*|27591:?*|27593:?*|27594:?*) - modifyworld.* (That block id format requires 'use-material-names: false' in the modifyworld config)
