the fix I did for this was installing the proper version of audiomod, which isn't actually included for some reason. you need the 1.1 version though and you need to put it in modpack.jar however, if moving the files up a directory works, I'd go with that as it's easier and more straightforward.

unless something changed since I last checked, it's 1.1 R-4 actually. in fact, I just checked and it is in fact 1.1 R-4

using the .jar is fine, since that is the where the actual launcher is. you can't use TMI because it's not part of the pack. if you're having issues with NEI (not enough items) I suggest you read the stickies.

that's correct. anything that would have gone in minecraft.jar, instead goes in modpack.jar but otherwise it's the same. for instance if you had a mod that normally installs to the mods folder, that doesn't change.

you need to run it with java. you may be able to do this by right clicking on it, going to "open with..." and selecting java

or you could use the http api, which actually would involve using a real for sure server not built inside minecraft. I am pretty sure I saw an IRC client for computercraft over at the mod's own forums.

the pipe+condenser issue involves wooden pipes being hooked up to condensers. causes errors and such, it's a known issue. pipes near chests is fine as for the "we spent good money" bit, no one cares. it doesn't obligate anyone to do anything for you here. you didn't pay the technic team, nor do they accept payments or donations of any kind.

'cause I do it all the time. whoever convinced you that there are no stupid questions was wrong. there's a TON of them. at the risk of sounding a little TOO full of myself, don't patronize me telling me to be polite. if people randomly walked up to you asking you the most obvious of questions like "what color is the sky?", "why am I standing up?",or "what's my name?" again and again you would eventually be less than polite when answering. imagine that, but there's also a large sign right behind you with the exact answers to the questions they're asking and they are ignoring it to ask you instead. that's the tech support sections of this forum. the fact that anyone even bothers to help 90% of the people posting there is miracle in and of itself.

it's not our job to help you. the people that post here trying to help do so out of their own free will because they like to help. they don't owe you an answer or a solution. I have no idea why your server would stop accepting local connections randomly, but I know you won't get far with that kind of attitude.

I am not kaker or a mod, but allow me to weigh in on these suggestions 1) they're already in the process of removing the DMCA notice, github is just super slow 2) overengineer ALL the things! 3) do you honestly think this would be any better than the rule already in place? go take a look in the server section, open any whitelist server thread until you find one that requires age in the application. almost every single person applying will be between 10-18 years old. it won't make a difference. 4) while this is a neat idea, I really don't want my server auto-updating. auto-updates means auto-break-shit-without-warning and even more inevitable "wrong version wut?!?!" posts. 5) you first, guy. I think you fundamentally misunderstand what the goal of this mod pack is. it is not to be "professional" if you get what I mean. it seems to me that the goal has always been to make the best possible minecraft mod experience with the least hassle to the end user in a way that takes the least effort from kaker and his team. why in the easiest way possible for the packers? because they're doing this on their free time for no money with lots of children/adults whining at them or telling them how they should do it. in fact, not only do they not get paid but they actively REFUSE payment of any kind. you have to really love what you're doing to burn money on it like they are doing and that garners a large amount of respect from me. if you want to contribute, that's great! posts like this are not how you go about going that. showing up and acting like you're god's gift to programmers and if we'd just realize that and treat you right, you'd work miracles out of the goodness of your kind heart doesn't really help either.

if it can't bind to any port, than you have something blocking it from listening for incoming traffic. likely candidates are firewalls, firewalls, antivirus programs with firewalls, and firewalls.

if you want to map your tekkit world, dynmap is currently the only thing I know of that can come close to doing it.

NEWB ALERT… (with inevitable questions :\ ) *** OP, I read your initial post and scanned the thread in order to save my brain from hurting too much. it looks like you've been asked at least once so far for the the server specs but have yet to provide them. if you are so certain that the specs cannot be the issue, post them. if you are right, we can move on to trying to find the real problem. if you are wrong we will let you know very quickly. also, in the future please try to speak like a real person. for being the "dad" you write like an ADHD 10 year old. thanks. edit: all this is assuming that the "average machine specs" you posted are not indicative of the server itself and instead are the specs of the an average client PC trying to use said server.

honestly, if this kid's parents are actually dumb enough to put 3 antivirus programs on their PC, I doubt any amount of explanation would change things. that of course assumes that everything he's said is true. basically OP, if you're being honest you are screwed and if you're lying you're simply stupid. nobody here can help with either of those problems.
