  1. UC is cheap and easy to make, but seems to cause graphical issues with some computer setups (loss of FPS). UC connects just dandy between mekanism power generation blocks, energy storage blocks, and machine blocks. REC equires three TE machines to get access to, they do not play well with mekanism power generation and storage blocks, and have a 5% power loss; but allows to direct the flow of power (except with mekanism gen and storage) With that said what I've done: Edit ThermalExpansion.cfg so RECs have zero power loss, or update TE to the latest version. Two hydro gens (with separators) hooked up with UC feeding an advanced battery box, that then feeds into a redstone energy cell. It's a simple setup with a small foot print that more or less keeps up with the demands of the redstone energy cell.
  2. This lists the energy requirements for a BC Quarry. 2 MJ = 5 EU as per the energy bridge. A single MV array would produce 64 EU/t, would be about 25 MJ/t. Slap on two redstone energy conduits (one set to input the other to output) and it would run at a decent rate. Two MV arrays would cap out the quarry's input, movement, and dig speed. vvvvvvv You're right, having the producer right up against the quarry, then there is no reason for any sort of conduit.
  3. Have you figured out your State Cell issue? Shift right clicking with a screw driver will reverse the orientation of a logic block, while normal right click with a screw driver rotates it.
  4. A quick search came up with conductive pipe sections on chunk boarders exploding or vanishing. Solutions given where removing and replacing all the conductive pipes on the effected line, or using energy conduits.
  5. Are you able to login with vanilla minecraft? Did you purchase minecraft?
  6. They're used as panels on buildcraft pipes. More information in the following link http://minecraftbuildcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Facades
  7. Item detectors will emit a redstone pulse, or individual red stone pulses. Regulators will emit a constant redstone signal when it's connected device has the listed amounts it maintains. It will also pulse when it ejects an item into it's connected device. Relays automatically push out any items into a connected pipe without a redstone pulse. However they cause an update on any pipe network connected to them. Managers can pull and eject items without a redstone pulse. Many of the RP2 blocks can work inline if another device is pushing items somewhere in the network towards them.
  8. It may be an ID conflict, this mod is trying to use an ID that redpower2 is using. Your forge mod loader logs may be able to show you what is conflicting.
  9. Captain_Bryne, check your [Options] then select recommended build. The other option is to keep it on manual and then select the version you wish to use from the drop down menu.
  10. frothy, how many chunks per biome did you clear out to find this data? A good 100 chunks mined per biome would give us a minimum to look at. Eloraam felt it important enough to leave tungsten available in ore generation, just be patient and eventually you'll be rewarded. Your shift key also seems to be broken.
  11. You can, you can also set it to ignore the wood if you just want the cocoa.
  12. The chunks loaded by a teleport tether are static, and do not update until it's broken and replaced. The loaded chunk indicator is focused on the blocks, and not on the actual loaded chunks. This is from my personal experience. theporlo's advice is correct, as the world anchor cart updates the loaded chunks as it moves.
  13. battle_bas, if it's not an RP2 block, it crashes any client that can render it. Some items are less temperamental then others, but wireless Tx/Rx are up there with ender chests, while vanilla chests may allow a few movements steps before a client crashes. When I encountered this issue with a frame quarry, I had to remove all the wireless receiver blocks, and use bundled cables and colored cables, along with an RP2 computer with I/O, monitor, disk; and then give my quarry a 500 tick wait while I ran away as quick as I could. You could try the above as a solution, as long as you don't use non-RP2 blocks. You could use a computer, or 6 control levers. The computer would be more compact, while the levers would be more anarchistic. A cautionary note, these are just my observations, and may not apply to you.
  14. Filter (Diamond) to Item Detector (Diamond) to storage chest. Set the item detector to multiple pulses. Red stone on one path leading to a state cell, that holds the door open for a period of time, another path to a counter. Then have a timer reduce the count and then a red stone signal from the counter to shut everything down. -edit- I was thinking about this further, and depending on the player base, you may want to limit access to the machines themselves. Instead of having the machines out in the open, make an Automat. This could be done with vend-o-mats, or with a series of chests labeled for the type of process performed on materials added.
  15. Intestine, have her run Error-checking on her drive where she has her users folder, ticking both boxes. This folder is usually located on drive C. Now the below steps might not be needed, just clear cache and login. Go to C:\Users\$USER$\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\tekkit and delete the contents of that folder. Follow this by running the technic launcher, select tekkit, then options, clear cache, then login. You should do the same for yourself, as well as for the server files. Rename the folder containing your server files, extract a fresh copy of the tekkit server, copy over world files, plugins, and server setting files. I highly recommend getting a UPS for the server, your computer, and your girlfriend's computer, these allow for the chance to save and shut down gracefully. They also help protect from brown outs and power spikes.
