You haven't got any BC pipes overflowing at all? If it is quarries it could be due to lava flows etc? These options (not BC overflow) can all be turned off or down in Optifine if you go looking, especially under the "animations" tab. And anyway, just because you see someone else's computer running it smoothly does not mean yours is guaranteed to, sorry bro.

Delete the .technicpack folder or whtever it's called bro, then download and re-run. Or even just delete the tekkit folder inside there and let it re-update.

Are you able to determine where abouts it decides to explode? E.g. on a corner where you have slowed the carts down and so the back cart hits the front one before it is slowed?

Jason, you are cool bro. I don't think I've ever seen a thread quite hijacked like that. Shot. If you go into video options, there is an option (due to optifine) to use connected textures, look around a bit and you should find it.

You shouldn't need mcpatcher. Just open up your .technicpack folder and open which modpack you're after (tekkit or technic) and drop it in the texturepack folder in that area.

Create a refinery to refine the oil into fuel and this will last a lot longer than oil by itself. You can also use the combustion engines to power the refinery, and pump the fuel back to the engines to have it in a loop and then split off some of the power to get your quarry going. I'm doing this at the mo and it works a treat. Of course there are better methods than combustion engines but I quite like the whole process.
