Have you ever been banned from any servers?: 1, was pissing off to many pigman(they had them forever angred)

Can you read and write English (Note, Rules are in English)?:yes

What’s Rule Number Seven?:"7. Obey the Admins and Mods!"

Summarize your MC/Tekkit Experience:I just like to build with my friends or go raoming on adventures to find new things or just be werid and mine

Sorry about the late reply. Accepted. Have fun. Try not to explore too far from spawn (7k+ blocks) there is no hard limit for now but one will be implemented should excessive filesize become an issue. Also as a general rule, if you're asked to stop doing something, its wise to do so. Otherwise have fun and enjoy your time.

  2. Hey guys,

Update is finished, server should be up shortly. Change log is on the pack page but the Gist of it is:

Updated Minefactory Reloaded and Project Red

    Added WAILA

They finally addressed the bug I was worried about in WAILA so it's added client-side by default now. If you don't like it just delete it or append .disabled to the zip in your mods folder.

Like wise I'd like to remind everyone to turn off your machines before you log out, this recent issue was caused by harvesters running when chunks unload. There are A-LOT of ways you can turn off your machines before you log out, don't rely on the chunk providing power to unload and do it for you. I wont give any more warnings I'll just start regenning chunks that cause these crashes.

  3. Hey guys, The server will be down until I can push an update to the pack. I wanted to wait until I had time to update everything that's been released since 2.0.0 but issues have arisen that mandate a rather hasty patch. I'll do my best to test the change but it's 6am and I'm bushed so try to limit anything new you build. I'll try to get the server up before I fall asleep but if I do pass out before then we'll be back up around 2pm EST or so hopefully..

Likewise I'd like to remind everyone that you can contact me faster via Steam then you can via PM. If you don't have my steam name just message me and I'll throw you my profile link.

Summarize your MC/Tekkit Experience: I'm quite well versed in any mod included in Tekkit Lite. Aside from that, I have only minimal experience with the other mods included in your pack. While waiting for my application to be reviewed, I plan to fool around a bit with them. I'm a fast learner so an information gap is not a problem. I look forward to being able to join the community and experience some new mods!

Accepted, have fun. I'm not sure if the first post has been updated with the changes we've made in the 2.0 version of the pack/server so I'll give you a heads up. Chunkloaders turn themselves off after 10 minutes of you logging out, so design any builds with cutoff switches in mind. Upgrade to an Ender Quarry as soon as you have the material and infastructure to do so. Refrain from extrememly complex builds, we had a major issue with a lot of Tile Entities that resulted in the old world needing reset. Otherwise have fun, build stuff and enjoy. Any questions or comments can be directed to me or any other staff (Mod or Admin tag in game) via PM here or /mail in game.

  5. Alrighty; Thnx to tub, & milz, & my non-english speaking brain; We've fixed the server!

Quite, sorry about that guys. Between 12 and 2 PM today Spigot released a patch for one of its dependency files which caused any server running Spigot, MCPC or any variation built from that to crash. Thanks to the MCPC Dev team it was fixed within minutes, but I was on an errand and couldn't fix the server personally untill I got home at 6PM.

Anyway, it had nothing to do with our pack, or our server specfically (in fact all servers running MCPC were experienceing it) so everythings fine there. Regardless I apologize for the downtime. I'll see y'all online =P.

  6. So while I'm uploading the world file I figured I'd let y'all know whats up. Sacred Rubber Saplings have been disabled, any one who has one in a chest or inventory please destroy them in what ever way you see fit. They make some super awesome trees but they also destroy the server. Sacred Oak Saplings are fine. Just not Rubber ones. Anyway, the upload will take at-least an hour. Find something to do in the mean time. I'll post once the server is up again.

    Never been banned

    Yes i can read English

    Obey The Admins and Mods

been playing for a little bit

Little sparse, usually perfer applicants to elaborate a bit, more effort = more determination but since you're being referred by another member we'll let it slide. Have fun, follow the rules, bigger is not better and such..

  8. hay tub, to allow exploration but still keep the server file small should making a mist-age exploration world work?

You can explore. The issue is when people go 15K blocks from spawn in every direction. There's nothing new going to pop up further out. That comes back to the "Use common sense, Only build what you need, bigger is not better." thing.

  9. Not sure if its just me but it says both /warp spawn and /warp market do not exist... just letting you know

Cause all old warps were wiped with the Player inventories.

    Alright, who broke it?

No one, The server itself probably never crashed as there are no crash log or anything major in the Server log. I've noticed Mojangs auth/session servers have been wonky recently, showing us as offline when we're actually up.

Anyway I'll be taking a walk then I'll be on today... See Y'all soon.

  10. Pack Updated. Server started. We're good to go.

    NOTES:

    A few things have changed:

    • The end portals are sealed. Wait for the End event like normal.
    • Chunkloaders are limited now. 45 Chunks total per player, maximum of 9 chunks to one loader.
    • Chunkloaders will unload 10 minutes after you log out. They will no longer keep chunks loaded while you're offline.
    • Mining age has not been generated yet. Please try to get an EnderQuarry to replace your BC quarries ASAP when it is generated.
    • Remember Bigger is not Better. Build only what you need. I don't want a repeat of the last world.

Have fun, I'll have a full change log up on the Pack page as soon as I can. Remember, first starts are prone to needing restarts to get the little things, hopefully there will be few or none.

As always, send me any crash logs you get. See you on the new map.

  11. Hey all,

So with Friday just over the horizon I wanted to give you some basic info about the event and transition.

Event will start at 8PM EST as announced. If you can't make it due to other things no worries. Its just a fun little farewell for this map. We'll have a fireworks show once most people who will be coming have logged in and are ready. The fireworks show should last about 4 and a half minutes. After that, we'll have some fun, anyone willing to donate their bases for massive destruction will not be disappointed. Finally we'll finish off the map with a nice memorable bang. Directly afterwards the server will be stopped and I'll start preparing for the transition.

I have already uploaded a copy of the world from the 11th that you guys can download if you want. I'll release the link once the server is being transferred. I picked the 11th instead of more recent since that was when I announced the move and so you wont have any surprises in the world that may cause random devastating explosions.

Anyway, I hope to see you all at the event, be sure to come early so you don't miss Nen's show as-well. We'll see all of you on the next map. I cant wait to build a new base and I'm sure we'll all see some awesome places thanks to the new mods and Biomes O Plenty.

  12. So, while building the new spawn I came up with an Idea for a back story on the move. If you don't care, don't read the spoiler below. If you want some insight on why spawn is being built the way it is, and would like to read some novice fiction read below.

This tome was discovered in the Library of Resilience City. It's author is lost to history, but it's rumored to have been written by one of the original builders of Resilience City, long before our prosperous time.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We first discovered the cave after the collapse of retaining wall three. Water had eroded the stone behind the wall while construction was underway for the council spire. Our surveyors had long said that the hill the city was being built upon was honeycombed with cave systems, but all were natural, or so we thought. When we checked the cave to see how far it extended into the hill, we found The Cavern.

Dimly lit by the lava from deep ravines, we could instantly see the tell tale signs of strategic mining. Further evidence of The Cavern being built by people was found after survey crews arrived. Two large entrance tunnels had been dug into the walls of the cavern. Oddly these tunnels had extremely large and complex blast doors at each entrance. The doors had long since rusted open, obviously left open to the elements for very long before the tunnels themselves collapsed to erosion.

Multiple teams were sent to The Cavern, specialists of every kind from archeologists to engineers came to study what was found. Careful study showed far more then just doors. A highly complex system of mines. An ore refining station that harnessed the heat from the near by lava sources for energy. Even the remains of a highly advanced city were discovered.

Most Historians believed that the City was once home to a mining colony. Selling refined metals and items to near by villages and towns, providing safe haven to those besieged by warring factions. Others however believe the City was a front. An outpost. Some sort of guard against something else. It was discovered that the tunnels had not eroded as our surveyors thought, but were collapsed on purpose with explosives. This was confirmed when the controls for the doors were finally unearthed. They were controlled from outside The Cavern. If they were there to protect from the outside they would be inside the cavern.

After a few years the Council decided to open The Cavern to the public as an attraction. We built an elevator from the surface and cleared the tunnels, adding lights and modern safety measures. For a time the area was used as an amusement park, a storage warehouse, a museum, and many other things. Each time the structures suffered some sort of disaster. Fire, Earthquake, Infestation. After 10 years it was abandoned.

The Council decided it would be easier to deny building permits then pay insurance costs. The Cavern was left empty, barren, seen only by a few daring explorers. Those who explored The Caverns found many things others overlooked. Signs of advanced explosives used for mining, dating from far before anyone thought such things had been discovered.

The explorers put themselves in dangerous situations but The Council ignored them for the most part. That is, until a group of explorers dug into a previously collapsed tunnel in the mines. That day Resilience City was hit with earthquakes like we had never experienced before. The previously rusted blast doors at the Cavern entrances sprang into life. Rusty bearings and gears squealed as they shut off the Tunnels, the last sliver of light from outside tainted by the flashing of previously dead lights.

They remained shut. For 5 months they remained shut. Any attempts to override the controls from the outside were met with only failure. The elevator had sustained major damage after the quake. The Council received petition after petition from the family's of the explorers and finally gave permission to blast an entrance into The Cavern.

Rescue teams found nothing. No clothing, no remains. Structural damage was minimal and the blast doors were simply stuck from rust. The cave system they had explored contained only a pickaxe, broken, and a note. Hastily scrawled with charcoal from a torch it read "Et factum est in fine."

Now The Cavern is abandoned completely. For forty years its been forgotten. It will remain so if The 6 Sides will it. May they have mercy on our future generations, and may those generations not make the same mistakes the inhabitants of The Cavern, and those poor explorers made. Whatever lies beneath those hills, whatever those blast doors were made to hold back, whatever those kids found was never meant to see the light of day and if it should ever do so, not even The Council will be able to stop it.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the back of last page of the tome is a hand written note, it reads: "Forgive me, brother. It should have been I in those mines. This is all I can do to repent for abandoning you all."

I should clarify (and remember how to tell time), the official date and time of the update will be SATURDAY the 15th at 12:01AM - 6:00AM. I keep forgetting others don't run on my time system of "Its not tomorrow until I go to sleep". You guys might want to be on at about 8-9PM EST on Friday though, as I have something interesting to do as a sort of "farewell" to the current map. I'll see Y'all around.

  13. PLAYER TOWN BUILD OFF! (after server regen)

I and a few other players are going to create one giant town (not our home base's just a giant town) with the intent of rivaling the mods/admins building! we want to show them the power of the player! any one willing to build and play along nicely is welcome to join in on the build off (note it has no end time this is just a player event kind of thing)

    starting buildings

-Giant factory (we will need some where to make insane amounts of simple mats IE stone, wood, clay and so on. so the first building made will probably be an under ground factory)

-paths (the town will need a layout to fallow so wandering paths will be needed)

-plots (the town above ALL needs to look good, so placing down torches in a fence and placing a sign stating who and what will be built there is a must)

    odds and ends

-chunk loading: will be a no no, i will keep the main factory area chunk loaded save your chunk loaders for at your own base

-helping some one build: just ask who ever is in charge of building what you want to help build and play along nicely

-making a new build: nothing fancy just place down the torches and sign (ill have an example set up) and make sure your design fits the area its in. you don't have to copy every one but don't put a high tech looking gizmo next to a forest house please

using community mats: if your using them for building the community go for it other wise please only take some for your own builds if there are some massive amounts of the mat laying around

joining the community: just msg some one in the community and they can TP you to the town and eventually you'll be able to pick up a linker book to make your own way there saving you the /home space

Again, this is AFTER we go to the live server yes? Because spawn itself will be very minimal. Any player structures will wait until it has been released to everyone and even then spawn itself will remain minimal.

Aside from that, more power to you, have fun. I'd keep your design decisions loose though until the server is live and the official change log has been released as there are a few changes I've made between the current version and 2.0.01.

  14. I've been thinking up new things to make on the next server and I have come to the decision I want a huge friggen palace somewhere near spawn. If you have any ideas I would love to see some. Real life photos, Minecraft photos, I really don't care, or suggest something from the album I put together. (copy and paste the link) https://imgur.com/a/GJFhg. If you have any ideas please PM me don't clutter up the forum. Also for future reference if you need help with builds feel free to ask for advise.

    Just your friendly Architect :derp:

I hope you mean you want your base to be "friggen huge" and near spawn. Cause we've pretty much already decided that the new spawn will be smaller then usual.

Anyway, for those of you who contacted me about testing the "last" update on the DEV server, you can now access the updated pack and Dev server as-well again. We'll be building spawn and making any changes needed throughout the week and pushing it live to the main server on Friday as scheduled.

NOTES TO PEOPLE WHO JOIN WITH THE DEV PACK:

Do not start building bases. Everyone starts at the same time when its released live on the main server.

Ask before you build anything for spawn. We're going minimalist so we pretty much have a design in mind already.

If I start seeing bases pop up, or people mining I'll be very upset. And you'll not like me when I'm upset. *Insert Hulk face here*

  15. Also a newer (?) Version of Thermal Expansion adds Flux infused weapons and tools which is a big plus. If your taking suggestions, Natura in addition to biomes o plenty would add some nether atmosphere and it goes hand in hand with Tinkerer's Construct. Speaking of Tinkerer's Construct, TMechworks  (0.1.4.2) is the technical side to TiCo, ever since it was split up. It adds Drawbridges and igniters, as well as bundled cable.

Project Red and Redstone in Motion also combine to create the full experience of Red Power 2.

The first portion is Redstone Arsenal, and I had already thought of adding it but it depends on testing. Natura will not be added for two reasons, I hate heat scar spiders, and the last mod pack we had it in (Big Dig) it crashed the server more then anything else, whether that was just a buggy build or what IDK but I want to avoid as many problems as possible. Also I think I've explained my reasons for not adding Mechworks enough so I wont repeat my reasons, but it wont be added either.

RiM looks nice, and I'd love to have frames (only a couple people remember my Mobile Miner from Big Dig and no one remembers my retractable mountain side from Tekkit Classic) but I really don't like some of the issues being reported on various threads/Githubs that's being caused or enhanced by it. Again for stability it wont be added.

Before this disscussion turns into a "Add this mod" thing, I'd like to just keep discussion on the fact at hand, Peoples feelings on regening the world. Future mod additions (that I havn't already done extensive testing on) can be considered after this is all sorted out.

  16. yea im not against a regen, it will b fun to start over. This wont reset coins, will it?

Also if we are taking suggestions, i love magic mods like ars magica and thaumcraft, or mods like Balkons weapon mod and the portal gun... These are just suggestions if you cant add them its ok :)

I'll have to take a look at how our economy pligin stores its data but it should be maintained through any transition.

I'd also love to add ThaumCraft or Portal Gun, but the licenses on those mods prevents me from doing so. Also the last 2 updates were supposed to have Balkons installed, but each time there was an issue with incompatibility which I don't think has been addressed yet.

  17. I added [Whitelist] to your server thread post, just so people know.

The server isn't white listed though. They can join and look around spawn, talk to people who are online and such. However applications are needed for build privileges and access to the economy and such. I believe that's grey listing, and IIRC our thread was tagged as such.

Of course feel free to correct me. I've never been a big part of those administration duties.

  18. I'd like to clear a few things up.

BOP will be installed IF we do a world reset as-well, it was late and I forgot to add that.

Downtime will be nil, that's why I've posted this a full week early. We'll do like we did with the initial move to the mod-pack, build Spawn and such on the dev-server and move over to the main one once everything is set.

Likewise the update is only tentatively scheduled for the 14th, a-lot can change in a week so It may be pushed further back..

I'd like to see more people opinions on the matter then the 4 that have posted, so If you see someone on, point them here so their voice can be heard.

  19. Hey guys.

As most of you should know we've been testing the next update of the mod-pack. Testing is over, its ready (and has been for awhile now). Right now I'd update the pack however theres a light issue with the world. I've tweaked every setting I can. Eliminated as many sources of lag as possible and even done some back end optimizations and the server resources are still burning up at the speed of sound.

So, what can we do about it? Well, we have two options.

    1. Update and keep going as long as we can until we're completely forced to regenerate the world.

    2. Regen the world while we update, which will allow us to add 2 mods that I've been wanting to add but avoiding due to world gen. (Extra Bees and Project Red.)

Both have pro's and con's but the basics are, if we go with option 1, you guys will need to do everything you can to not build super laggy stuff* and will need to be prepared for much more frequent (and probably automated) server restarts. With option 2, we lose everything but gain a clean slate. Old, unused builds will be gone, and hopefully we can avoid some issues we've encountered since the map was generated (like buildings made entirely of EnderIO Facades dragging TPS into hell and giant Openblock tanks). You also gain 2 of the most requested mods for the pack.

Like I've always said, I didn't build this pack for myself alone, and I don't help run it for that reason either. In the end, its you, the players decision. I want you to tell me which option you would prefer at this point. Unless I get overwhelming support for a world reset we'll just leave it as is and set up some automated restarts.

Let me know. Either way, the *tentative* date for the update is Friday March 14 between 12:01AM and 6:00AM EST.

*My guide is taking longer then expected to write due to how much I have to explain, and the fact that its not a subject put easily into layman's terms.
