Use the search bar please. I literally just answered and solved the exact same issue 5 minutes ago.

He did, and he found a long dead thread.

Rather than finding a thread with a solution, he found this one.

Has nobody noticed that this thread was made almost half a year ago?

Two people have and Bride just commented on that fact in the post right above you.

I have this problem, I have a pc with specs that are way above the usual requirements for minecraft, i can run dayz in 30 fps solid for

goodness sake. My technic SSP runs with about 5 fps and im wandering what the problem is. I have 6GB RAM and an i5 processor (2.3Ghz)

I have an intel® graphics card. Intel HD 3000 I think it was. Please someone help because I simply can't play it, I've also allocated the

launcher 4GBs of RAM which I'm told is more than enough.

I'm sorry, but that's a actually very bad hardware. Try to allocate only 2 GB either. The processor is okay, but the video card is pretty terrible, if you don't have any way to get a better one, I can't see a solution to this problem.

It's not even a card, it's an integrated chip on the processor. No wonder it's so bad, the 4000 is better anyway (but still worse than any graphics card on the market)

A Nvidia geforce 610 will probably do, and thats £30. If you want something decent, a 650ti or above is good. The yogscast themselves use 670's, and if you have £800-900 spare, get a 690 :D

A GeForce 540M can hit 100FPS if used properly in Technic, so of that's cheaper it's not a bad option.

Yeah, but a decent graphics card lets you play new games at high settings, and is a much better investment as it will play future gaes better. And "used properly" implies a lot more complicated process than "find a spare PCI slot, plug in, turn on".

EDITT: isn't an M a mobile chip anyway? 630M or better is the way to go for new laptops.

I meant used properly as in set to actually be used for Java.

I can run plenty of games on High graphics, so it's not too bad. Of course, if you have the money to spare (which I have) and the option(damn you, laptop!) getting a better graphics card can be a worthy investment.
