Usually I build it massive, and see how much it lags out the server, then just slowly scale back until the server's running better.

Usually I make it stupidly compact to the point of not being able to access anything anymore. Also, the server seems to always run fine for me, despite your massive creations.

nope, there's a million guides on them though.  just google it.

lol....you gotta be careful with harvesters too haha, I used a diamond upgrade on mine and it tore all the wood off of my house

Thats why if my harverster is close to where my house is going to be I will use covers then

I'd recommend checking out the TL wiki, there are tons of helpful articles on there  I know you can do some really cool stuff with it, I haven't really done anything with it though
