Technic Launcher refuses to download Minecraft assets

I have not had a very good day with the Technic Launcher. No matter what fixes I have tried, the launcher still does not install mods.

Here is the log of my last attempt. I had reinstalled the launcher with both my firewall and anti-virus (Kaspersky) completely disabled and they remained disabled throughout the attempt. I also ran the program as an administrator throughout the entire effort.

Is there anything else left for me to try? If not, is there any way I could bypass the bug by manually installing the assets?

 

Edit: I underestimated how thorough Kaspersky really is. Turns out that the anti-banner part of the software was blocking access to the resources, even when Kaspersky was turned off. The launcher runs perfectly fine now.
