HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so i downloaded the attack of the b team mod pack and i open my minecraft using the technic launcher and when i try to join a server it times out (probably obvious reason) and so i tried to make a single player game and it loads the world but then it shuts down immediately after loading the game and says shutting down internal servers and then it says minecraft does not have enough memory i know my computer can handle this because i upgraded its graphics card and ram

Make sure you have 64 bit java. Give the launcher 2-3gb (launcher cog wheel, top right)

how do i know what java i have?

If you click that cog wheel and can give the launcher 2-3gb of ram, then you do. If it won't let you, you don't.

and when i click that cog wheel it only gives me options for 500mb 720mb and 1gig i have 8 gigs of ram

 

it gives me the option of 500mb 720mb and 1gig

Every time I try to join a Server, my Attack of the B-Team crash.. And I dont know why... I'll be glad if someone help me...
