Klausar Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Tekkit 3.1.2 just released, but why didn't it include the computercraft 1.4 update? And before you say it: I know I can just update it myself, I'm just curious.
JustG Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I also cannot find a link i do not believe 1.4 or 1.4.1 has been ported to bukkit yet. If someone has ported this mod please let me know.
Aquilamo Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I know I might sound stupid, but can you explain to me what bukkit ported means? Or put a link to somewhere I could find an explanation. Thanks in advance.
VideoBoy Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I know I might sound stupid, but can you explain to me what bukkit ported means? Or put a link to somewhere I could find an explanation. Thanks in advance. Every mod has three versions: - Single player version - Multiplayer version for vanilla Minecraft - Multiplayer version for Bukkit Tekkit needs the Bukkit version, but most mod authors only focus on the first two so we usually have to wait for another person to step up and make the Bukkit port.
Torezu Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Tekkit needs the Bukkit version, but most mod authors only focus on the first two so we usually have to wait for another person to step up and make the Bukkit port. It also needs to be Forge-compatible, which not all mods are.
Aquilamo Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Thanks a lot. Now next stupid question: what is the difference between multiplayer mod and a bukkit multiplayer mod? I know it might sound weird, but I just can't find it on google. Do bukkit ported mods have some sort of obscure programming? Or are they just the same, with a few more line that don't really have a purpose?

I'm no programmer, but seeing how a lot of mods still don't have Bukkit ports, I'm sure it's more work than just changing a few lines. XD
KyleBoyer Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I don't know if this will help anyone, but here is the link to the info about the 1.4 computercraft update: http://www.computercraft.info/2012/07/27/computercraft-1-4-is-released/
Aquilamo Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.2.5 There's a bukkit port! is it going to be updated before all the mods have switched to 1.3?
tambre Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I really want the ComputerCraft update - now compoletly Forge compatible also! The Plugin fixes turtle.place() on Bukkit. The Port is port like always! Computer Craft 1.41 Bukkit Plugin (fixes turtles a little bit) Computer Craft 1.41 Bukkit Port
g_BonE Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 See my guide on updating CC to 1.41 yourself here !
Zealdd Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Thanks a lot. Now next stupid question: what is the difference between multiplayer mod and a bukkit multiplayer mod? It's programmed to be incorporated with bukkit, which i believe is just just programmed differently than a normal vanilla server.
