clicking doesn't work

This morning I skyped my friend and as we had for the past week we decided to play tekkit however when opened the launcher and tried to click on modpacks... nothing happened when I click on the X nothing happens... if I click ANYWHERE it doesn't work. I tried restarting my computer reinstalling the launcher AND the folder can someone please help me with this P.S. the error is in the launcher not tekkit so this post is allowed

Could be corrupt java- uninstall all versions of java on your machine and install https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
