Noah Smith Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Hello guys, I was wondering if there is a way to stop combustion engines while your afk. By that I mean to have some setup where when they turned red they would automatically turn off. It is annoying to have to constantly check up on my oil refinery because im paranoid. Thanks for any help
milcondoin Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Pipe gates can check the state of your engines, they are in Buildcraft 3.
Torezu Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Set up the redstone signals that activate the engines to cycle off for certain time periods using RedPower stuff, or just link them to a switch for you to shut off manually when you go afk.
charcharmunro Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 You could also set up a system that detects if water's being pumped into the engines, and shut the engines off if it's not.
LazDude2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Use gates. Direwolf used a setup to do it in his season 3 lp.
OmegaJasam Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Or.... build a pump in the same chunk so they /can't/ overheat?
Direwolf Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Wait so there's a guys a with the minecraft name Direwolf??

LazDude2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Just wanted to say, for those times when you can't avoid combustion engine explosions, they look prettier in JohnSmith Technician's Remix! /shamelessplug
