Hello everyone! I'm a huge fan of Tekkit, and lately I have been wondering which mods could expand it even more. I have come up with two big names that fits perfectly for Tekkit. The first one is Flan's Mod. Tekkit has all those machines and mining devices, so I think the next step is weapons and veichles. Flan's Mod adds a lot of both. It would be perfect for both Tekkit PVP and for Co-op. The other mod is the Zeppelin Mod. It fits perfectly into Tekkit, building your own ship and then driving it? Its PERFECT! I don't know if it is possible to add these or not, I am not even sure if the makers of Tekkit are seeing this. But if you are, and if it is possible to add these two mods, then do so! They fit perfectly and would expand the world of Tekkit even more!

Reading through previous threads tells me that zeppelin mod was too unstable and flan's mod uses a tekkit incompatible forge version or something. Sorry but no dice on whether those two mods will ever be added.

Btw. Use the search bar, those mods get suggested every week and people tend to get grumpy about answering those same questions.

Zeppelins, unless I'm mistaken, is SSP-only, and Flan's mods use ModLoaderMP, which doesn't work with Forge nicely. They're not going to be added.

Yup its a shame, flans'mod created his own version of Forge to piss up a load of forge mod users I guess and make sure to be totally incompatible with all the great Forge mods that are available, such a shame, that mod is so awesome but at same time incompatible with everything that exist.

That mod would be awesome, but not compatible with BC2 since tekkit use BC2 you can forget about that great mod, since BC3 isn't ready for SMP and won't be updated at all for MC1.2.5 you can forget about that right now (there's a really buggy version on mcportcentral but do not test it on any serious server or be ready to loose your save and your world)

Which mod are you referring to?

The train and Zeppelin mod one, I've just tested it in SSP and its really awesome, but due to the more than 80 ID taken by this one, I doubt I would be able to make it work with tekkit, even for ssp and without BC2 and Forestry

Iv got trains and zeppelins on my tekkit client and server. But nei gives me trouble when trying to spawn trains or certain fuel for the trains. If someone wants an error log im willing to provide one.

Probably because Tekkit is using BC 2.2.14 and the Trains and Zeppelin is specifically not compatible with BC2.2.14, its indicated clearly in the download link description, you can't have it in Tekkit right now, it will cause a lot of problems because of BC2.2.14 being there.

Mainly nei is the problem. BC2 isnt a problem.

You're right on that. If you go by the way a computer scans files (alphabetically), then BC2 would load before IC2, which caused my problem when I installed trains client side. I'm just to lazy to go and fix the BlockID conflict, since it will probably involve some coding and changing at least 40 ID's (from what I can deduce).

Want a config that will make this work? It works for tekkit sp and smp. Although in smp not all train items can be spawned.

Works for me! Anything to put my favorite mod into Tekkit easily. I was kind of surprised when I couldn't find one because when I downloaded Trains in 1.0, there was a config file for changing id's.
