Launcher updated itself to version 1.0.2.0?!?!

Launcher Version: 1.0.2.0

Operating System: Windows 7

Java Version: 1.7.0_03

Antivirus Program:

Description of Problem:

Launcher updated to a version no one has and i cant login

Error Messages:

Incorrect UserField/PasswordField Combination

Error Log:

The answer to your question is yes, the launcher updated itself to version 1.0.2.0.

I was getting this error while the Mojang servers were down. Retyping my password and username solved the issue (had to wait for a while)

So, not to threadjack, but why did the launcher update? Anything new, or just optimizations or something?

Staff never really revealed it so far I know

Also, the latest Launcher is 1.0.2.0, so I don't see any problem with that part

My friends still have the older version and they can play normally

Your Java is out of date, and what was the last version you were using?

this would be quite a stupid reason to get this message also version of technic launcher or java?

AFAIK, they fixed the mojang account skin issue that I mentioned months ago.

Also I changed my password which made it work somehow, it's not that I have been typing in the wrong information because i did it a lot of times making sure its right username and password
