So.

Given the rate at which Mojang like screwing with us it looks like 1.2.5 will be the norm, at least for us, for a while yet.

Which is a shame because there's an absa-bloody-normous thread here

http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/technic-pack-suggestions-ahoy.1053/

with loads of stuff I look forward to seeing (and some stuff that's meh, for neutrality)

But I wouldn't be surprised if things don't happen until the update after the API update (which in itself is being pushed back)

So I ask that there be a big content update soon-ish. Let us see whether the things we want are up to scratch. Nivamai's already done the research into compatibility (and asshat licencing), so why we can't have nice things is beyond me :D

Screw whether the worlds have to be blitzed and started again. We've got EE folks, it takes 6 hours to get back to creative mode.

(To those that will inevitably be all "hurr durr install them urself" I play Tekkit on an awesome server with an inept admin. The whole point of this modpack is so we don't have to faff about with folders and shizz and I'm enormously grateful to the Technic Team for it)

I may be inept, but I can install mods.

it's a valid point that if you're playing SMP, you can't really install new/updated mods. have you every tried getting a bunch of random people to download/install some set of mods successfully and without issues? it's not easy to do, as our bug boards can attest.

That's why I haven't done it.

I'm also getting sick of these fast updates. They've said that they'll implement the mod-api in 1.3, then 1.4 and it's still NOT there. Guess I'll be playing with 1.2.5 for a long time until something useful comes. I have 105 mods to play with anyway. :D

And, I've got 90 and counting. Now, if the mod devs would backport the new features to 1.2.5, I would be very happy.

Yeah, I really like the new iron tanks in Railcraft and the new Item Manager that Eloraam made. And the new Logistics Pipes aren't bad either; Mk 2 pipes. :D

Those iron tanks just plain look awesome, and what's the item manager? Also, I'd like printers and printed books backported from CC 1.43.

They hadn't started the API at all last month. As far as I know they barely have anything done.

What you're asking us to do isn't to update technic or tekkit, its to make a new modpack.

Why do you think nothing is going to update until the Mod API? There's a good chance that will never come out. People are updating their mods for new versions of forge, and Tekkit will update when there is a good base of updated mods.

Yes, update was slightly the wrong word. Just add more stuff, provided it's up to scratch. Although some mods have updated within 1.2.5

Computercraft has done backdates as well for it's latest version, I heard. Can't be bothered to check it out, that'd be like effort and stuff.
