  • Industrial and Howler Alarms - May be turned up very loud and then hidden or protected to grief players.
  • Frame Motor - Bypasses anti-grief to move blocks into and out of protected areas without permission.
  • Tesla Coil - May kill other players even when PvP is off.
  • Dark Matter Pedestal - Fills the server log very quickly when activated, potentially running the server out of storage allocation and causing a crash.
  • Energy Collector I, II, and III - Converting renewable energy sources to non-renewable ores undermines the server economy.
  • All hammers added by Bolken's mod - The power attack injures protected animals without permission, and players even when PvP is off.
  • Alchemical Tome - Allows players to bypass crafting banned items which will in turn confiscate any banned items created by EMC, wasting the EMC in the process.

This list may seem long, but it's actually quite small when taken into consideration. As you can see, all of these have been banned for valid reasons to protect the server. Use your imagination to build new ways to accumulate wealth and see how quickly you can climb the ranks of the server's wealthiest players!

Major Plugins

  • Grief Prevention - Allows players to claim blocks to prevent griefing.
  • Population Density - Periodically resets spawn so that new players will always have a fresh start.
  • AntiXRay - Makes x-raying obsolete by setting a limit on the amount of scarce resources a player can mine per hour.

Grief Prevention

This plugin is used to do exactly what its name says: prevent griefing. It does this by allowing a user to create a claimed area use claim blocks. Each user starts off the server with 100 blocks and their first chest, by default, sets up their first claim automatically. Also, each user gains 100 claim blocks per hour of non-idle play. The user can either choose to extend this claim using a golden shovel or create brand new claims also using a golden shovel. Each new claim must be a minimum size of a 10x10 area. After a user create a claim, they can then alter who can build, access chests, and use levers/buttons by using the commands "/accesstrust" "/containertrust" or "/trust" with the player's name they wish to grant rights to. Access trust only allows players to use levers/buttons. Container trust allows players to open chests and use levers/buttons. Trust allows access to build, open chests, and use levers/buttons.

Server Description

Simply Tekkit was setup to give players a server where they could play Tekkit without the worry of being griefed and getting lag. Everything you build is protected so long as you claim it using the Grief Prevention plugin. The server is not 100% without lag. There are times when the Population Density plugin scans the regions in the server causing some lag to be seen, however, this only lasts 30 minutes at most. This server is not for kids who can't handle single player. We don't have babysitter commands like /back, /tpa, and /home. If you get lost, you're on your own, so learn to navigate, that's part of the fun of Minecraft!

Community

As of right now, the community is quite small, but very willing to grow. The few players that play regularly have been nothing but respectful and kind to new players often lending them some starting supplies and sometimes giving them a place to stay. If you are kind and respectful, I will gladly welcome you to the server!

The server should be back up soon. And the builds in those pictures are some of the only builds we have on the server at the moment. Feel free to contribute. ^.^

I have recently been banned on this server. Why i have no ruddy idea. I think it was because i kept saying ''test'' to check the lag. If i could be unbanned thatd be great. My IGN is Moko29.

Edit: We need a forum for ourselves! >:0 Even one of those free-bee forums, and you could put all of BigScary's servers on the same forum, and a category for each.

Yes, the server is currently down for the host switch. It should be back sometime today and with a different IP, I THINK. I'm not 100% on the new IP.
