Question

Posted

Hey everyone,

I have been playing Hexxit for more then a week now and it worked perfectly fine untill today.
I thought it was time to update the Java version that I have to the latest one, but after that Hexxit won't work anymore.
When I launch Hexxit it give me this error that I pasted below. Everything else on my pc works fine and I already have tried many things
myself: windows update, updating drivers, looking for help on forums and videos, restart pc, using older java versions, searching info about Advanced OpenGL, turning Advanced OpenGL on and off in the hexxit Options.txt, reinstalling Hexxit and Technic Launcher .
Please help me out here and just tell me if you guys need to know something about my pc to be able to help me.

Bad video card drivers!
      -----------------------

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

download forge open the modpack’s folder and put the folders ‘mods‘ and ‘coremods‘ on the normal minecraft launcher (worked for me)

The reason this works is because the normal minecraft launcher uses its own java, 8u51, and the issue this person was having is caused by 8u60+.

But thanks for necroing this almost 4 year old thread.
