Run only single instance launcher?

Is there a cli argument or some other way to limit TechnicLauncher to launching only a single instance? My son will accidentally open a ton of them.

Erhm  No there isn't at least i don't know anything like that! You could make some complicated thingy but it's too complicated for me to bother sry

what? how do you accidentally open more than one? does he bash the mouse button multiple times?

you start the launcher, pick a pack to play and hit Play. Only one window should pop-up with MOJANG on it.

Besides that, you can only open one of each modpack. Now unless your son is going to open all modpacks at the same time...
