PS3SUCKMYWii
So i run a small 3gb server witch holds 45 slots i pay $30 a month for it. And i want to know how to decrease lag i cut down some of my plugins and i got a plugin called lagbegone witch clears entity's every 10mins. When the server has 7 people the cpu is up 60-100%. Anyone have any ideas?
Djinnii
Check players machine builds, look for things like power/redstone loops, large timers, failing forcefields, huge arrays of collectors.
tyrantelf
3GB for $30... Its very possible they gave you a lot of RAM and skimped on your CPU. What's your CPU speed & number of cores?
MrKekson
carefull it's tricky, my host for example tell me the entire server load ( shared ) so 6% is 1 entire core, whic is max for minecraft( some stuff can use multicore, but not the main thread ), so find out your exact cpu, and ghz then check a banchmark

Don't be lazy with typing: b4 Dang just by reading what you typed out clearly shows how stupid you really are. You'r telling me to stop being lazy but yet you have to put "gtfo". Creepersahoy you are truly much more of a moron then I was making you out to be. You are the new king of being stupid. Oh and again maybe try reading your own shi@ before you try to insult someone else. Thanks turd AKA: Creepersahoy, Merry Christmas Also. Wasn't lazy this time so again please read before you type. ampayne2
two things: 1)Buy a better computer 2)Upgrade your computers R.A.M! hope this helps Like mjclone said, read before posting.. The server is hosted by a company, you don't just walk in and replace its RAM, or setup a whole new server. The more $$ you pay the more power you get.
