Hello

I am able to get mocreatures to work on my single player tekkit lite. I cannot get it to work with the server though. I put the drzarks mocreatures zip file and the custom mob spawner zip file both into the server mods folder. When i launch i get this error report (see bellow). What should i do to fix this problem, I really want mo creatures on my server.

I got mo creatures to work on tekkit classic with a bukkit port, is there one for tekkit lite?

i was able to get it to work. Download the current versions of mo creatures, mob spawner and guiapi. On the client side, add guiapi to your custommods.jar or minecraft.jar in the bin folder. add the zips for mob spawner and mo creatures to your mods folder. On the server side, add the same zips for mob spawner and mo creatures to your mods folder. Wah-la.

Hey Guys.

Thanks for all the help, I discovered my error. I was putting the bukkit version of Mocreatures in the server mods folder, not the same one as the client side. As soon as I switched to the client mocreatures.zip the server started and worked.

Make sure to delete the META-INF folder in the modpack.jar, or you'll just freeze at the launch.

Mo creatures isn't compatible with the new tekkit launcher btw. Now when you install the mod and launch tekkit lite, you just get a white screen. :( Anyway, does anyone know where to get an older version of tekkit launcher ? :)

That's not true. The launcher is completely fine with it, what makes you think that it's caused by a program used to start up the game? It's far more likely that you're just screwing up somewhere. The technic launcher is not incompatible with anything.

Yeah it works totally fine with the new launcher, I have it in a server pack now and was using it installed over Tekkit Lite a few weeks ago. You did something wrong installing it. Did you make sure you had the Custom Spawner and GUI API installed (and in the right folders, since Mo Creatures and the former go in the mods folder and the latter goes in coremods)?

You the same guy who was asking about that on SA? If so, I answered there but you must have missed it, but even if not this'll fix your problem:

Mo Creatures 5.0.8 is for 1.5.1 and Tekkit Lite is still on 1.4.7, so you'll have to use Mo Creatures 4.6.0a (same with GuiAPI and Custom Mob Spawner for their respective versions).

e: Since I need to update the versions in my server to the new 1.4.7 compatible ones, I found the exact versions you'll want and where to get them:

Mo Creatures - You want 4.6.0a

Custom Mob Spawner - You want 1.11

GuiAPI - You want 0.15.2

Pardon my ignorance, but is MoCreatures possible without a client-side for SMP? In the past it's always required a specific client-side mod along with the server mod, but I'm sticking to vanilla Tekkit Lite right now for my servers rather than delving into a custom modpack. This being said, I've wanted MoCreatures for YEARS now on my server - is this a reality, or will I indeed need to wait and create a custom modpack?

No, if a mod adds blocks or mobs etc., it requires client side, otherwise the client just won't be able to comprehend what is actually going on in the server, and almost certainly wouldn't be able to see the mobs if you somehow did manage to connect without the mod (which is actually impossible). You need to add in mo' creatures, or almost any mod for that matter, client-side or not at all.
