Description of Problem:

Updated to Tekkit lite server 0.5.2 from 0.5.1

Server crashes upon running.

You could try restarting your server without the Dimensional Anchors mod installed, that should clear up any errors related to it. After you manage to get back on (which the server should actually start after removing it), you can then decide if you want to replace it (personally, since you already have ChickenCode Core, I'd suggest getting ChickenChunks for your server's chunkloading needs. Any Chicken_Bones mod is better then the mods it intends to improve upon, 100% of the time.

I've tried removing the mod Immibis but it spits out a error even earlier than the one he posted(which is the same one I got). I'm going to try and use the mcedit and see if I can edit it out and hopefully fix it.

Edit: Forgot to add I got this while on 0.5.2. I did however come from 0.5.1. However the server was working just fine for well over 24hours then the computer lost power from a power outage and this error came up. As for removing the dimensional anchors I was only able to remove 1 of the 2 in the game. The other one is in mystcraft but mcedit can't touch those worlds for some reason.

You can try browsing to the world file inside the server and loading directly from the maps dat file? And I removed the dimensional anchors mod. It fixed the problem, but now I can't log into the server. New error in client reads:

Forge Mod Loader has found world ID mismatches

Removing the block with mcedit won't work, and removing the dimensional anchor mod will only work until you reactivate the dimensional anchor mod.

Here is how to make a clean swipe:

Remove the dimensional anchor mod from your server (NOT the immibis core mode).

It should start fine.

Now visit all parallel worlds where you had dimensional anchors, and make sure they have disappeared.

Stop the server.

Go into your world data and remove ICL-world.dat

Then you can put the mod back and tell your players not to use dimensional anchors in parallel worlds, or you can wait for a fix.

Reason for the above:

Deactivating the dimensional anchor mod will remove all dimensional anchors on startup (because it can't recognize they block ID).

ICL-world.dat will tell dimensional anchor to try and load worlds where a dimensional anchor is present.

There is a check in dimensional anchor which test if such worlds are instances of the overworld, which Mystcraft worlds are not. This check is supposed to prevent the server from loading worlds from the clients, but in this case it's conflicting with Mystcraft.

Since dimensional anchor is open source, you might want to try and hotfix that yourself. I will try tonight.

Here is a basic short term fix... assume your 'server' is on root of c: and is called 'world'

BAT FILE:

cd server

del world\data\ICL-worlds.dat

launch.bat

:END

I'm sure you can write a cleaner script (my real one also includes a backup routine) just run that bat file instead of the tekkit one, it will run tekkit for you.

The end result of this is your server won't crash, but you will have to re visit each anchor manually to activate it - a new ICL-worlds.dat gets created.
