Is this why the launcher is not working for me?

It has come to my attention the following files hosted with you contain copyrighted material for which distribution license has not been granted:

Inside the .zip files is included several works for which they do not have permission to distribute, included (but not limited to):

mods/[1]Redpower-all-2.0p4d-b1.1R3.zip (and similar version numbers)

mods/[2]Forestry-1.2.6.6-b1.1R4.zip (and similar version numbers)

Tekkit.jar/net/minecraft/server/BaseModMp.class

Tekkit.jar/net/minecraft/server/BaseMod.class

Tekkit.jar/net/minecraft/server/MLProp.class

Tekkit.jar/net/minecraft/server/ModLoader.class

Tekkit.jar/net/minecraft/server/ModLoaderMp.class

Many of the other contents also are illegally distributed, but the above list refers only to those works where I am personally authorized to act.

I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials described above on the infringing web pages is not authorized by the copyright owner, or its agent, or the law.

I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner, or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Because someone has decided that they don't want fun. They aren't even right, the launcher downloads them from each mod's "official" source.

I have my suspicions about the one who started that, based on the mods mentioned.

Let's see here...the only thing I can find wrong is a bit about providing away to get the BC source. That might be useful, although you aren't distributing it yourself. Hm.

Appairently some d**khead has decided to report us. This is going to take a while to sort out, but I am betting it was some idiot who is on a cracked client whos mad we didnt have a non-launcher verson.

in any case, no this isn't causing anyone's download issues. if it were, no one would be able to use technic at the moment unless they already had it installed.

yes, some guy is a bag of dicks, but that does not affect the launcher.

Everything is done off of a mirror now. Download the newest EXE/JAR from technicpack.net and you should be good.

According to the letter, one person is supposadly representing all of them and claiming credit for all of them.

It takes Github SO LONG to respond to these things. Its a fake/troll DMCA takedown request, and it will be back within the week. No worries guys~

Also, the Launcher has nothing to do with GitHub. All traffic is handled buy us.

Oh, yea. Hurr durr. I was getting the BC and RP devs mixed up.
