AngryNerdHasASad Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Well, I love the new tekkit, honestly the creators did an amazing job. but, I've only been able to play it once. I've tried to launch it 12 times, which is probably over doing it if it hasn't worked even times in a row, but I kept trying. It gets to the Mojang screen, and then freezes. It is marked as a Not Responding window, and then shows the crash report. The crash report roots out a few mods in the list, but only a few. Maybe around 5. If there is any fix to this, I would like to know. But honestly, 67 mods? Maybe a little bit too much for Minecraft to handle? I was able to use tekkit Lite and tekkit Classic, volts, yogbox, hack/mine, and big dig. Just not Tekkit. Just not Tekkit. Just not Tekkit. So yeah, if anyone could help me out or give me their opinion, it will be heavily appreciated. Thanks guys.
Roondak Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Big dig has way more mods than Tekkit, Minecraft's fine with that many mods.
jakalth Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Tekkit for me goes to what the computer thinks is a "not responding" screen while it loads. I thought it was unable to load until the one time I left it at the load time while I went to get something to drink. came back and there it was, running. So simply put, try letting Tekkit load for a while, over a minute sometimes, and it should finally load the game. For me it usually takes 47 seconds(yes I actually counted) for Tekkit to load up on my computer. Big Dig only takes about 12 seconds and Tekkit Lite about 8. Not sure why it takes so much longer to load since it has about the same number of mods as tekkit lite, and less then Big Dig. But it does. Runs just fine once it loads as well.
Teraku Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Why do people constantly think "Oh god 67 mods I better remove some"? At least one quarter of those mods are either APIS or Cores needed to run the other mods. Tekkit Lite had about 62 mods too. There's no problem with the amount of mods.
Feekkee Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Tekkit on 1.5.1 just takes a little longer time to load than it did befor. Be patient and wait for it to load.
Magicthize Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Try increasing the amount of RAM allocated to Tekkit.
