CrossfireTZ Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Two of my friends tried, and I tried from a different location, but nobody can connect to my server. I've port forwarded port 25565 on TCP to my local IP (192.168.1.4) and I've let 25565 through my PC Firewall, but it doesn't let me connect. My internet IP is 98.71.43.145. Here's my server.properties: #Minecraft server properties #Fri Jun 14 10:42:52 CDT 2013 generator-settings= allow-nether=true level-name=Tekkit enable-query=false allow-flight=true server-port=25565 level-type=DEFAULT enable-rcon=false level-seed= server-ip= max-build-height=256 spawn-npcs=true white-list=false spawn-animals=true snooper-enabled=true hardcore=false texture-pack= online-mode=true pvp=true difficulty=1 gamemode=0 max-players=20 spawn-monsters=true generate-structures=true view-distance=10 motd=Tekkit!! Please help, if there's anything that's there to be fixed.
Captain Scar Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Check whatismyip.com to see if your ip is correct and make sure to try forwarding 25565 on UDP too.
CrossfireTZ Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 The IP's still right, and I forwarded UDP as well, but my friends still can't connect.
Magister Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 try disabling the windows firewall and having them try a connection, also any other firewall you may have installed, then if you have multiple firewalls bring them back up one at a time till one stops the connection. if with the firewall down they are still unable to connect then double check your port forwarding in your router and make sure your pc is set to have a static ip. also if you have multiple network adapters you may want to check your priority settings for them.
Teraku Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Try using a port checker or port tester or something, see if 25565 is actually open. If you name your router's brand and type number, that would probably help as well.
AquatikJustice Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 That IP looks like an internal IP, not an external one. Go to a website like the one posted above or ipchicken.com and use what it says your IP is. Also, put the IP you get from the website of your choosing into your server.properties files under "server-ip".
Teraku Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 That IP is an external IP. It's not Class C or any of the known private IP's, anyway.
