Pewx Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) Unfortunately we no longer have the time to maintain this server. We believe that anyone who has put a lot of work in this server should be able to download the full world and do whatever they want with it. We hope that somebody wishes to revive it!Download World Version: Tekkit 1.1.7 (Can be updated) File size: 1.2GB (compressed) -- (2GB uncompressed)Mirror #1 - http://speedy.sh/HQyPK/TourneyTekkitWorld.rar (No longer works) Mirror #2 - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24765056/TourneyTekkitWorld.rarMirror #3 - http://www.multiupload.nl/J96PKJVHV1 (No longer works) Enjoy Edited April 30, 2014 by Pewx
Brave Sir Wobin Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Allthough i am pretty intrugued, i dont quite understand why dimensional doors is removed? Would consider joining if it wasn't
Pewx Posted June 15, 2013 Author Posted June 15, 2013 Allthough i am pretty intrugued, i dont quite understand why dimensional doors is removed? Would consider joining if it wasn't We still have Mystcraft and everything else though! The reason we removed Dimesional Doors is because it can be abused heavily with rifts, rift blades and other stuff. It can really mess up the server. So it's been removed as a safety measure to prevent lag, crashes, massive ender men attacks and more. You're very welcome to join us, I hope you do! :)
TechnicManiac Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 The tekkit version says 1.5.2... Please help!
Pewx Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 The tekkit version says 1.5.2... Please help! 1.5.2 is the version of Minecraft. Tekkit is 1.1.5 but it is not visible inside the actual game. 1. Make sure you open Technic launcher. Link: http://www.technicpack.net/download 2. Then select Tekkit in the left menu of the launcher. The one with blue text and dark background. 3. Press the cogwheel below the image and select Always use the latest builds. It should change the Tekkit version to 1.1.5. After doing that, just launch the game and join the server like normal.
Pewx Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Regret to announce that we removed Mystcraft. It were causing server-crashes. We will re-enable it in future patches when it becomes more stable.
Tyrope Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Is the server down? I can't connect ingame, to the dynmap or teamspeak...
Pewx Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Is the server down? I can't connect ingame, to the dynmap or teamspeak... We are performing a network upgrade today which caused server to lose connection. The upgrade is still not done. Nothing on the server will be lost and when it's back online you can join and play again.
Tyrope Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Oh, right. you told me about that... derp. Could you post here when it's done? Thx.
Pewx Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 I will for sure! Update: The ISP stumbled upon some issues during the upgrade and the server will be back online tomorrow hopefully.
Pewx Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 The server is now back online. Our ISP was supposed to upgrade our internet connection but then realized they were missing the hardware so they rolled back to our old connection. They've now ordered the missing hardware and the upgrade will take place in about a week from now. You can still play in the meanwhile. We're sorry about the downtime.
StevenRS11 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Hey, I'm the dim doors author and am looking for reasons why people tend to disable it on servers. I'm trying to make it as server friendly as possible with the last few updates, and there are already lots of config options to remove the ssp- oriented aspects.
Pewx Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Hey, I'm the dim doors author and am looking for reasons why people tend to disable it on servers. I'm trying to make it as server friendly as possible with the last few updates, and there are already lots of config options to remove the ssp- oriented aspects. Actually I've been thinking of enabling DD again but with a very limited config. The reason I removed it in the first place is because it could be used as a griefing tool. Items such as the rift blade does not seem to respect restricted areas and such. And a player could walk around spamming portals literally everywhere outside protected areas. It would require to remove the rift blade and rift spreads and basically large portions of the mod so I took it out all together. I'm glad to see that you're working on making it server friendly. PM me your Skype if you want to talk. Suggestion: You could make two different config templates. Where one is preconfigured for multiplayer such as removing rift spreads and everything that is a harm to a large server. And one where it is like now more for singleplayer. You see if there was only DD to configure for every admin out there, there wouldn't be any problems. But seeing as there are quite a lot of mods in Tekkit that needs to be tuned to make a stable server it becomes a tedious work. And for most admins it is easier to just disable whatever doesn't work well. Which is usually dimensional doors and mystcraft.
cablecing Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 thinking about hoping on board with the wife can you port to a clean location and / move the wife as well or do we need to find a place of our own?
cablecing Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 also can she build and assist on claim land some servers we cannot
Pewx Posted June 30, 2013 Author Posted June 30, 2013 Sorry for the late reply. Basically just move wherever you like. The server has a very small but friendly community. So you won't have to search for many minutes to find a nice spot to build your home. Get help from this map to find a spot easier: http://tekkit.tourney.se We use the following Home commands. /sethome - Sets your home /delhome - Deletes your home /home - Teleports you to the Home location. You can claim private land anywhere you want by using a Golden Shovel. Your first chest will also give you a basic protected area which can be adjusted with a Golden Shovel. It is in fact very easy to learn how the claim system works. It is kind of self explanatory but read below for details. The essential claim commands: /Trust PlayerName - Gives another player permission to build in the claim. /UnTrust PlayerName - Removes permission to build in the claim. /AbandonClaim - Deletes the claim you are currently standing in. Advanced commands: /AccessTrust PlayerName - Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, and beds. /ContainerTrust PlayerName - Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, beds, crafting gear, containers, and animals. Video Tutorial how to claim. (4 minutes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA-Eb_PD4SQ Full list of GriefPrevention commands and info: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/grief-prevention/
Niverton Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 The server is down since this morning, I don't want to complain but I'd like some informations
Pewx Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Server is back online now. Something in Galacticraft made the server crash. The problem has been fixed. Let me know if there are any other problems.
Niverton Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Great ! Thanks, it's an awesome server by the way Not many plugins, and we're free to build what we want
Pewx Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Glad you enjoy it. We have a scheduled network maintenance tomorrow (4th july). Connection to the server may go up and down during the day. Hopefully it won't be noticed. Edit: Network upgrade is now finished. We're now running on Gbit connection.
Niverton Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Hey, some found out that uraninite is not generated in the map, it seems to be because the line "B:"Generate Uranium Ore"" in the automic science config is set to false by default in tekkit.
