Trixter313 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) You're not the brightest bulb on the christmas tree, are ya? What section would I post it in, please tell me, I searched it, NOTHING came up on it, and apparently I can't even post it in the random stuff section. Edited April 3, 2014 by Trixter313
Neowulf Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 If you can figure out why your previous two threads were locked, then you aren't trying hard enough.
Trixter313 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Please just tell me instead of beating around the bush >.<

Trixter313 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 You're expending a sizable amount of energy to stay lazy. xDD
Trixter313 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 I asked 3 other people around me where they thought the best place to post it was (Not telling them what I picked) They all said the first place I put it because the description says, "General Mod Discussion and HELP"
Moderators Munaus Posted April 3, 2014 Moderators Posted April 3, 2014 Mod makers market is for discussing java code, how to create a function to make the mod work the way you want. Creepers farting sparkles, or making pigs fly. Not for discussing how to add mods in a modpack
Trixter313 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 I have added multiple other mods, but optifine is loaded differently than others, you don't just drop it in the mods folder
Neowulf Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I asked 3 other people around me where they thought the best place to post it was (Not telling them what I picked) They all said the first place I put it because the description says, "General Mod Discussion and HELP" Oh, I'm sorry, you're a programmer adding optifine integration to your java code? Of course the Mod section, with stickies like "HOW do you mod?" and "Modding, Or: How I learned to stop sucking by reading the fucking sticky.", is the perfect place to get help with creating code to use optifine functions to enhance your own mod rendering. How silly of me, I must have completely misread your post and assumed you were another modpack creator too lazy to read the section title and stickies to find out the section was for programmers, not people who take mods and make a pack out of them. Boy howdy do I feel stupid. I just lumped you in with the other dozen "I need help with my modpack" threads I've locked in that section, visible on the first page alone. Munaus 1
Lethosos Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 My hand itches to do its duty. Seriously, though, if you have read the EXTREMELY EASY tutorial on modpacking, then you should have already known what to do. If you still don't get it, take another look on how Optifine is installed normally. And if you still don't get it, just... stop. Optifine doesn't always play nicely with some well-known mods, like Tinker's Construct, so you're better off not bothering anyways. disconsented 1
Moderators Munaus Posted April 4, 2014 Moderators Posted April 4, 2014 where are people getting the Tinkers and Optifine not working together from? I've installed Optifine on both Hexxit and AotBt without any issues. and I'm not even a tech wiz! I just figure it out, read some earlier threads on how-to and close my eyes, slam it in the modpack paste and hope the cake turns good. It always does.
Lethosos Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 It has to do with how the tools appear in hand when it runs, but if that got fixed, then more power for you. Still, I know a few mods has Optifine issues similar to z-fighting, so it's not a bad idea to leave it out first.
