About us

We are a small, friendly, tekkit "space" factions server with 75 slots at the moment.

We have 24/7/365 uptime, with 6gb of ram and a 4ghz dual-core cpu, so we aren't going to lag.

 

Feel free to post on our forums with any questions and/or concerns you have about the server.

 

History

We started out as a small tekkit lite server with no pvp at Wed, Jul 17, 2013 at 12:24 PM. From there we stedily grew into a large 40 player server. Unfortunatley, soon after people lost interest in tekkit lite and decided to move on. After a long discussion with the server players and staff, we decided to move to tekkit "space" with factions. We are hoping that this will bring us back to our formour gloury!

Ram: 6gb (will be upgraded as needed)

CPU: 4ghz dual-core

 

Server Rules:

I will try to keep this list updated, but the in-game list in /rules is the official set.

These rules are in place to make sure that TerraTekkit Factions is a fun and enjoyable place for all! So, please, don't break them. If you are wondering what the reason behind any rule is, just ask and we will do our best to explain 
No griefing other factions
If you take over territory of that into your faction, you may do as your faction leader allows (even if that is griefing)
If something is unclaimed, you must first claim it to grief it.
You may claim something, grief it, then unclaim it as a fair way to get around this rule
Be respectful to all other players, whether or not they are staff
This includes good sportsmanship (No, admins and moderators are NOT hackers)
No hacking
This includes but is not limited to Flybots (flying armor is ok, as long as you legitimately obtained the armor),
No exploiting
This includes but is not limited to dupe bugs, pvp-bypassing bugs, and the like.
No hate speech
This includes racisum and sexisum
No trolling (within reason)
Moderators have the final decision on all disputes. You may not argue with them (if you feel they were being unfair you may email the owner at [email protected] Make sure to include the time and date it happened on).
You may not ask for op, moderator, admin, gamemode, vip, minivip, megavip, etc.
For moderator and admin please apply at http://forums.terratekkit.org/ (MAKE SURE TO READ THE ENTIRE THREAD WITH THE APPLICATION FORMAT).

For vip, megavip, and minivip you may purchase those ranks at http://store.terratekkit.org/
Do not advertise other servers, websites, modpacks, or services. If you must post a link, ask a mod if it's ok first
We are a PG community, please keep swearing (a little is ok, just don't be excessive), and inappropriate talk to a minimum
No Spamming
Do not wine for things, including rules, acts of god, and acts of moderators that you do not like
Not knowing the rules is not an excuse to break them
To get member, be in a faction for one week and do something to demonstrate basic knowledge of the modpack (setting up a full set of Thermal Expansion machines will do)
You must be member to create a faction
If you purchase vip, megavip, or minivip these rules still apply to you as much as anyone, that means that you can still be banned and denied access to the perks

We currently have no banned items, but if anyone abuses this freedom we will add them promptly.

Banned items

We try to keep the banned items list small, so right now only turtles are banned (because they can bypass faction protection).

Great server! I may consider donating once I recieve my next pay check. All the server needs is a bigger community; and John, may I make a reccomendation? I highly reccomend you downgrade your server plan to about 25 players, there isn't a big enough community yet to need a 75 slot server, this may reduce your server bill.

Thank you for the complments! I encourage you to donate, hopefully that pay check comes soon :). I agree that we need a bigger community, I am just unsure how to get that. As for the downgrades, I have been looking for a cheaper host, but since I already did that about 6 months ago, we are already running on the best deal I can find ($24/95 a/mo for 8gb ram), and I simply haven't seen any other hosts that would be able to handle modded minecraft like this at a fairish price.
