What i must do!

Hi guys!I have a problem with my technic launcher...I have windows 8 64-bit and Java 32-bit and 64-bit and I can add up to only 1GB RAM...what I must do? I have tried to change compatibility but I failed ! Please guys help me!

Hi,

 

I first recommend u only installing one version of Java. So in your case only use Java 64bit (This is the JDK version I use).

Second, how much RAM does your computer has?

1)I have 4 GB and 3,88 is usable.

2)I downloaded it and when I run the launcher it says: Java runtime enviroment not found (i uninstall java 32bit and 64bit).I download the file with this name jdk-7u60-windows-x64.exe

 

Plz I really want to play a mocpack!!

I think BestOftheworld made a mistake with the Java Part.

 

Start uninstalling that JDK again. And download the normal Java. Make sure you install the 64bit version.

 

Then my second question: The on the drop down menu for selecting your RAM, is 2Gb grayed out or doesn't it even show up?

It shows me up to 1GB RAM and I installed 64-bit and again java runtime enviroment not found

Ok this is what you do,

 

1. You right click on "Computer" and select "Properties".

2. Then "Advanced System Settings".

3. "Environment Variables"

4. Then navigate in Windows Explorer to your Java Folder, for me this is: "C:Program FilesJavajre7bin"

5. You copy this path.

6. Then in "Environment Variables" search for "Path" en click on "Edit"

7. You scroll to the end of the line and add ";C:ThePathYouCopiedEarlierjava.exe" (Do not forget the ; in the beginning)

8. Save everything and try again.

 

Let me know if it worked.

Don't delete anything out of the line of code that is already there. All it does is set a default path for Java. And it is that path that Technic Uses to find your Java installation.

It ends in Shared and then I leave a space and i write that?

Guys I fixed it! (Sry for what i am saying) I was using a cracked technic launcher and i decided to buy premium,then I run the normal launcher and i can select up to 4 GB ram now!
