  1. Custom zips have everything to do with tekkit lite. They allow you to add in any mod you want (that is compatible) very easily. It also allows you to manually update mods on your server. And it lets you do all of this without making your server users do much work at all. The fact that you didn't read the News in the News section isn't really a problem with the website, the announcement was there you just didn't read it. There were also posts all over the forum about it being removed and why back when it was removed earlier in the month.
  2. Update: I was receiving this same error with 0.5.5 as well. I removed the offending pipe (attached to an MFSU to serve as a sensor). I then began receiving Logistics Pipes errors of the same type. These I fixed by manually updating Logistics Pipes.
  3. It was: http://www.technicpack.net/custom-zip-build-your-own-private-modpacks/
  4. Look in the bug report forum, this issue has been solved (it's probably where OP found his answer).
  5. Just FYI that "(Input/Output) LIMITED" message at the top is there to tell you which part isn't functioning properly. As you rightly figured out the lack of wooden pipe on the energy link was limiting output, hence the "OUTPUT LIMITED"
  6. You should be pretty safe to just snag your world folder from your minecraft server and put it into the tekkit world folder without issue. The only issue you'll run into is finding the new ores. Any chunk you've generated already on your vanilla server will NOT get the new ores/trees/etc. You'll have to generate new chunks which can be a pain if you've expanded a lot. The other option is to use MC Edit to cut out all the chunks except for the ones you've built in. This will cause the other chunks to be regenerated when you load up tekkit granting them the new ores/trees/etc.
  7. You can get newer versions of IC2 here: http://ic2api.player.to:8080/job/IC2_lf/ They are dev builds though so not all are stable, I use 196 without any issue. Also you can get the latest tekkit server builds just by modifying the server download link. If you go here: http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit-lite/ you'll see it lists the latest version as 0.5.5 but the server download links to 0.5.2. If you take the link to the server download which is http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/tekkitlite/Tekkit_Lite_Server_0.5.2.zip and modify the last digit in the filename to at 5 you'll get http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/tekkitlite/Tekkit_Lite_Server_0.5.5.zip which will download the newest version of tekkit lite. You can get the latest client build simply by going into the options in the technic launcher. Keep in mind if it isn't a recommended build then it is a development build that may not be stable. You're going to want to back up your world before doing any of this in case something goes awry. If you don't backup your world and you corrupt it I will have zero sympathy for you.
  8. This is fixed in version 0.5.4 of tekkit lite (because 0.5.4 updates IC2 to the latest version, you can fix this manually by updating IC2 on your server). By latest version I'm assuming you actually mean the recommended version.
  9. Why is it that the Minecraft Modding community seems to be either one extreme or the other? Does modding have some effect on people that if you're incapable of letting things go you just go insane?
  10. Try looking in the bug report forum where this was solved already.
  11. C:\Users\[uSERNAMEHERE]\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\tekkitlite
  12. Appears to be specific to my server's world. Forcing the server to create a new world works fine. Edit: Updating Buildcraft does NOT fix this issue, nor does removing it temporarily.
  13. Title: 0.5.4 Crash on Server Start Version: 0.5.1 OS: Win7 Java Version: JRE7V11 Description of Problem: Upon launcher server, I get a severe buildcraft error Error Messages: See log Error Log: http://pastebin.com/7bT2KdaR
  14. You can just manually update the mod. You don't need to remove it. You will have to setup a custom zip though if this is on a server.
  15. What operating system?
  16. You can also convert MJ to EU using Pneumatic Generators
  17. Not only preaching it but vandalizing wikis and spamming it! http://thetekkit.wikia.com/wiki/UU-Matter?diff=138769&oldid=138697 (Already fixed it) I've never seen a community as toxic as the FTB community.
  18. Just update to the newest version of Dimensional Anchors. Fixes the problem.
  19. I got it from here: http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=8607 If you copylink the "alternative" mirror for the download it links to that jenkins server where they apparently host all the ic2 builds. I'm running 196 on my server with zero issues.
  20. Try the bug reports forum. There are a million posts just like yours with answers to your problem already.
  21. I've been infinitely happier talking to tekkit players vs FTB players. An example of the difference in communities: The subreddit for tekkit has a link to the FTB subreddit under "related modpacks." FTB has no such link to the tekkit subreddit. Even worse FTB players constantly come into the tekkit subreddit and just spam "why don't you just play FTB" on every post. I was considering giving FTB a fair shake when they release ultimate but with a community like that I think I'll just stick to tekkit and custom zips.
  22. Update the dimensional anchors mod manually. It was fixed in a more recent version (Tekkit Lite 0.5.3 has the updated version of dimensional anchors as well)
  23. Alternatively just update Dimensional Anchors
  24. So make one? They're free. You could also use mediafire if you want.
  25. Try manually updating industrialcraft to the latest version. There is a known bug in the version of Industrialcraft that is in TL currently that causes a similar error message to be spammed to the log. TL has version 170. You can get the most up to date version here: http://ic2api.player.to:8080/job/IC2_lf/ You will have to setup a custom zip though and have your users use that.
