  1. .techniclauncher\yogbox\config\modloader.cfg if I recall correctly.

    Download Fail

AVG. Disable it. Better yet, uninstall it.
  3. Download the OptiFine you want and drop its contents into the modpack.jar in the bin folder of the correct mod pack, using 7zip or WinRAR. That's it.
  4. Then it's still pathed to the wrong folder. Remove all old versions, install the new one, and restart your computer.
  5. It's more "Breaking enough rules". Breaking a low-grade rule like signing your post once won't get you a kellering. Breaking a rule like discussing piracy once will definitely get you keller'd, and may get you outright banned.
  6. How many times is someone going to have to say, "If you push the new client and new server both at once, people will yell at you!" before you realize that it doesn't matter how they do it? Pretend they push both. People will be on the Bug Boards before an hour has passed, whining about how they can't log in to their favorite server because they did an update. They've found a method that works - as evidence, I don't see a ton of complaint threads, and you're the only one that seems to be pushing the issue. Give it a rest.
  7. Transposers only have one in and one out. Is it facing the wrong direction? The small round hole is out.
  8. That...would be why you can't make H.S. Rails. You need a Rolling Machine for the tracks.
  9. Use 64-bit Java.
  10. New versions of Technic don't use modloader, so there won't be a file. Otherwise, you may not have a text editor set up to open .cfg files, and you'll have to either do that or go edit it manually.
  11. Add Java to your system path variable. Google it.
  12. Try your email and password rather than your Minecraft username. If that doesn't work, delete your lastlogin file and re-enter your name/pw.
  13. You can do one of two things: Delete your player.dat file on the server (removes your inventory and any XP you have, I think), or use invedit or something similar to remove the monster spawner from your inventory. It seems you put one in there, and Tekkit doesn't like that. At least, that's what appears to have happened.
  14. That would be how I'd do it, yes. Make sure you're getting the right bit version for your OS. Ah. Just read your other one. Yeah, remove the Java 6 version. Then I'd try downloading the .jar version of the launcher and running that (either double-click it or right-click > Run with Java). The .exe version doesn't like 32-bit Java sometimes.
  15. If you're inclined to install Forestry, you could use electric motors. Otherwise, it's Power Converters all the way.
  16. You don't have Java installed correctly, most likely. JavaFX is a side program. You should be seeing Java 7u5, probably 32-bit for your OS but may be 64-bit. Side note: AVG will eventually screw you over. I'd get rid of it in favor of a better free AV. Try MSE.
  17. Are you...using a Rolling Machine?
  18. You have duplicate copies of some mods, probably due to a version upgrade. Go into your [modpack]\mods folder and delete the older version of each duplicate (same mod name, maybe different file name). Next time, post in the correct section, as it helps us determine what version of which mod pack you're using.
  19. Do you have any security plugins installed? Those can prevent BuildCraft from modifying anything. If you're not concerned about security, try "/OP [buildcraft]" from in-game or "OP [buildcraft] from the server console.
  20. My sarcasm meter is broken...did removing it fix the problem? Other questions if it's still crashing: What version of Java are you using, specifically? Do you have an antivirus/firewall running, and if so which one?
  21. As soon as they put you in charge of updates, feel free to let us know. Server owners that pay attention and are communicating with their clients should have no issues with this. For the rest, that's why Kaker put a sticky in the Tekkit Bug Board.
  22. Post a launcher log. White screen and Java error is worthless for troubleshooting.
  23. One thing you will definitely notice, coming from Scotland, is the distance you need to travel to get many places. The drive from Michigan to Niagara, which isn't that far, is still 100+ miles (150+ km) and 2-1/2 to 3 hours. If you want to drive from Michigan to Yellowstone, for example, it's a good, solid 20 hours, and that's not including stops. The North to South length of Scotland is only a little more than your Niagara trip. Edit: For the Niagara trip, I should have said Detroit, not Michigan, as coming from other places in Michigan could take quite a bit longer.
  24. There's a texturepacks folder in each mod pack folder. You can place alternate texturepacks there. Try one of the alternates. Otherwise, the files are scattered all over the place.
  25. First, what is your AV? AVG has been known to mess with the launcher even when it's off. If you don't have AVG, and have something like Norton or McAfee, try disabling them during the install.
