If you're not connected to the internet, you won't get the mods. There isn't a lot of point in running any of the mod packs without the mods.

Don't use Internet Exploder to download it. Try Firefox or Chrome - both seem to work fine.

Either run the launcher .jar with a batch file and change the java path to actually point to the 64-bit version (it'll be the one without an (x86) in the path), or just get rid of the 32-bit version.

It would be nice if you'd post how you did this. There are several other people having similar issues. Or was it random success?

Not all texture packs have all Tekkit items. It's up to you to decide whether to use the ones that don't.

Make sure you only have one copy of Java installed. If not, remove any extra ones.

Ah. Well, then I think he asked from the wrong perspective, since it didn't sound like he was a modder. It sounded to me like he wanted to know whether they'd started on a new mod pack or not. This isn't really the right place to ask anyway - I'd think a question like this would be directed more at sct or Kaker than anyone, not on the forum.

It's loading the texture pack for the view in the Main Menu, I think, and to use in-game. Why does it matter exactly how long it takes, if it's loading?

There are many fuels, coal, charcoal, and redstone being the most common. I am unsure about covalence dust. If the SWRG consumes a bit of fuel that's worth much more EMC, it won't consume more fuel until it's exhausted that. An Aeternalis Fuel will last a lot longer than coal, and it won't show up in inventory either way, so you may have thought you weren't using any fuel.

Click the Subsets button up at the top, and left click on sets of items you want to add.

Technic -> Tekkit conversion is...almost impossible for someone not extraordinarily dedicated to doing so, with the high number of block ID issues and different mods.

I'd Clear Cache on your installation of Tekkit first and let it reinstall.

*butt Really, if you're going to make posts about how a forum mod is late to an argument over the forum rules, expect to get blasted. If you also think grammar and spelling are unimportant, I challenge you to go get a job, using an application and resume that applies homophones in the wrong context.

That could be it. Disable it, or add exceptions as appropriate, or uninstall it, whatever you prefer, and see what happens.

You might as well ask for an ETA. Don't, seriously. The modders have to update the mods before the Technic team can even think about updating, and that's not going to happen for at least a month, if past conditions follow, probably much longer due to the SSP/SMP integration.
