  1. It's well-known at this point. Either you trust your users not to use/abuse it, or you disable alch chest placement so they can still make bags, or you disable alch chests altogether. It's your choice.
  2. Only if you have the server on your computer can you play Tekkit offline. Tekkit SSP also, of course.
  3. What about the chunk-loading options? Have you looked through the OptiFine thread to figure out what the best settings are for efficiency and FPS? And yeah, the 2 second option is...ludicrous.
  4. I suggest updating Java, but that's not likely to be your problem. If you upgraded the server to 3.1.1, you may need to delete the tablet files from the server and have people start over with their tablet memory. Old tablet memory can cause glitches.
  5. You would just need to put a newer copy of the texture pack in your texturepacks folder. If you so choose, you can download OptiFine Standard for whatever Minecraft version you're using and drop its contents into the modpack.jar file in the bin directory.
  6. Your...texture pack isn't complete, or OptiFine is broken.
  7. Put a bat box in between. Direct generator -> machine hookups are fussy.
  8. Do you have auto-save turned on at a 2 second interval for some weird reason? It's in the options somewhere.
  9. Check Windows Firewall on both ends to make sure it's letting the launcher, Java, and Minecraft through, and do the same for any antivirus software packages.
  10. I can safely say Millenaire is buggy, and I've played with it...very rarely. Cut it out with the needless hostility.
  11. This...is an excellent question. I believe it's R1.4 - don't quote me on that, though. It used to be on the Tekkit section of the main site.
  12. I could see this being fun, if done properly. It...would be difficult to do properly, though. Edit: Relocating this to Tekkit SMP so you might get some feedback. I wouldn't hold your breath, though, until after your keller has worn off or you've earned it off.
  13. Why would you post this here?
  14. Done. Still needs a launcher log to do much with, though.
  15. Aaaahhh! Wall of text I don't want to bother to read! Go submit a bug report, since I'm assuming you really don't know how to use the search bar for this really common error.
  16. I would assume you just need to let Java, the launcher, and Minecraft through. Can you connect with the localhost?
  17. Your launcher - it is old. Go get a new one.
  18. Phooey. Go back and look at your old thread, I don't feel like typing it again.
  19. Picture is not loading. Use an offsite host and link to it with [.img.] tags (no dots). Edit: Good point. Moved.
  20. Go grab the appropriate version of OptiFine Standard and drop the contents into your modpack.jar - the version that comes with the pack is usually the best but sometimes produces graphical oddities.
  21. You actually need calm, collected help. Desperate help is...unreliable at best. You do need Java 7. You also need a firewall/antivirus that's not blocking your connection.
  22. *twitch*
  23. Have you tried: 1) Deleting .minecraft and allowing the launcher to rebuild it? That folder often contains config files that disagree with the launcher. 2) Making sure you are completely free of "extra" versions of Java? 3) Being 100% sure you are using the 64-bit version of Java (currently 7u5) for the launcher and the server? Java's website will auto-download the 32-bit version for you if you don't slap it into shape.
  24. Did you really miss the sticky at the top of the board?
