  1. 2 things: 1) You're running with a very old version of Java. Check for multiple versions and get rid of any Java 6 installations you have. 2) Hamachi can still be blocked by a firewall or AV on the local computer. Look for those.
  2. No, no he can't. I've locked the thread. And you...need to go post a bug report. *Edit: I unlocked the thread just in case, after I realized that the 2nd threadjacking with no bug report today caused him to be banned. Oops.
  3. This topic has been done to death. If you don't believe me, look in the P.A.I.N.S. section. Please just stop with the "EE is OP!" threads.
  4. There's a recruitment thread for LP stuff in...the LP section, surprise!
  5. It was not a virus in the traditional sense - it was fairly benign but malicious running code. Should the Technic team have chosen to, there were people here willing to tweak that code out of Forestry, and they probably could have done it themselves anyway, so I don't think they were made to, per se. I just think they decided it wasn't worth the hassle. So, Hamish, yes, monetarize away. No one's stopping you.
  6. This should be mentioned: the upgrade removes and replaces the contents of several mod folders, notably the Rei's minimap folder with any waypoints the client may have stored. Back those up before doing this upgrade.
  7. Still seems legit.
  8. The server needs to be on 3.0.4. Alternatively, you could just upgrade it to 3.1.1, which is quite stable, and this problem will go away. No guarantees on new problems though. Back up waypoints from the clients before you do this.
  9. *Singsong voice* Clean up, clean up, everybody clean up!
  10. Use the .jar version instead, and double-check for antivirus interference.
  11. Check your AV software. If it's not that, the minecraft.net servers are being wonky, and you'll probably just have to wait it out.
  12. That's probably the Java webclient trying to run the launcher .jar - you should go reinstall Java.
  13. OP: You have a very old launcher version. I'd go get a new launcher file. Then double-check to make sure your antivirus/firewall isn't blocking it.
  14. I'm guessing you updated tekkit versions. This happens sometimes - try pulling the world file from a backup.
  15. Your OS is unfortunately too old to run the version of Java needed for Technic, at least to the best of my knowledge.
  16. Push the Windows key and Pause/Break. Look where it says "System Type" for a 32-bit or 64-bit OS. If you have a 32-bit OS, you want x86 Java, while a 64-bit OS means you need the other one. Online/offline is just the difference between running the installer while you download, or downloading the whole thing and installing off your hard drive. I prefer the latter, as it usually presents fewer complications.
  17. Try the guides thread. There's a link to a Mac server setup guide in there.
  18. There was a disagreement between the mod author and the Technic team on whether they had permission to use Forestry. The mod author then tweaked the mod code to deliberately screw up the worlds of only the people using the Technic launcher. To resolve this, the Technic team removed the mod, and the author agreed to "disable" the malicious code. So, you can add the mod back in yourself, if you trust the author to not do something else. There is effectively no chance that Forestry will ever be included in the pack again, though.
  19. Wrong place, common error, no bug report, /thread.
  20. I have a solution. Buy a second Minecraft account.
  21. You probably set perms by dimension. I have no idea how to fix that.
  22. I've heard the World Anchors and Teleport Tethers can sometimes cause this issue as well.
  23. He's not being pedantic. They're different mods. NEI is better. Second, are you running in windowed mode, and what's your GUI scale set to? You probably just can't see it. Try either full-screening (preferred) or changing your GUI scale to medium (better imo) or small.
  24. OptiFine Standard is what Moogle meant. Use that.
  25. Does [buildCraft] have perms to function?
