Then there's something else wrong. I would make sure you are running Tekkit 3.0.3 on your client (Options button on the launcher). If you're not, click the "Always Use Recommended Build" button and restart the launcher. Also, update to Java 7, for both the server and client, and remove Java 6.

0 TPS - what or who could cause this?
Torezu replied to Awesomeb's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
A cable loop would only show up when the machines attached to it are trying to draw power, and item entities on the ground will clean themselves after 5 minutes of server time, so...this is definitely a possibility. Look at who logs on close to the time the major tick rate drop happens. -
Acceptable, though the entire log may say more. Also odd - I've never seen such a short NullPointerException. Did you remove Java 6 after you installed 7? I'd try deleting your .minecraft and .techniclauncher folders, getting a new copy of the launcher itself, and reinstalling. Make sure to back up your worlds/waypoints/config files if you wish.
-
How are you trying to run the .jar file? Just a right-click and Run with Java or a batch file? If one doesn't work, try the other.

Here. Read this.

Leather...leather...okay, I can see that if you have cows or wolves around. I just don't usually move around on the surface long enough to find some. Personal preference, I guess.
-
You're probably not using recommended build settings. 90% of the time this error shows up (or more) the client upgraded to 3.1.0 without realizing it. If you are certain you're on 3.0.3, delete your .techniclauncher\tekkit folder and download it again (save your waypoints if you want them).
-
That's not part of Tekkit right now, so they have a custom server, which means you'll need to ask them how to install the custom client to go with it.

A suit needs 24 iron. It'll keep me alive while I'm caving to collect more iron. It will otherwise let you build...a little over 2 solar panels. (Each panel needs 10 refined iron.) I'm okay with not having 2 more panels in the early game. :)
-
You upgraded to Tekkit 3.1.0 - go back into your launcher window, select Tekkit, click Options, select Always Use Recommended Build, restart.
-
Then try posting a launcher log. They don't ask for it in the bug report form for no reason.
-
Okay, then briefly go through how you run the server, and maybe post a server properties file. I have zero issues running mine on Hamachi, and people can connect to it just fine.

How do you port forward a tekkit server
Torezu replied to boy409's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Nope. There are several guides to doing so, both here and easily searchable online. If you can't get port forwarding to work, you're not going to be able to administrate a server. -
I tend to craft iron armor once in Technic/Tekkit, because I find so much iron that it's not a big deal to do so. That one set lasts me until I have a Nanosuit. Crafting diamond armor in either mod pack is indeed a horrible waste of diamonds.

Gah! Let me list the things wrong with this "bug report" (I'm not sure it qualifies for the title). Then maybe you can fix it, yes? 1) You need an OS. It's 32-bit, yes, but is it Windows XP/Vista/7, some Linux distro, or a Mac OS? 2) Your Java version should match your OS. You don't say whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit. You'll want the 32-bit version. 3) You don't list an Antivirus program. That's actually really important for this one. 4) Clearly you didn't read the stickies, or you would have seen that this is an extremely common problem. It's usually related to your AV/firewall. 5) You didn't post a launcher log. If you don't have one, say so.

[SOLVED - Use NVidia GPU] Saving Chunk and low FPS
Torezu replied to Wicstar's question in Technic Launcher
That's not something I can do, and it really only applies to a rather specific situation (that the laptop has to know about, even), but it has been brought up a few times. -
Minecraft and other things not working correctly
Torezu replied to Steeled's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Avast! and Microsoft Security Essentials are also free, and both work quite well. -
None of this, aside from the pet and the precious gems, is any different from regular Minecraft. One of the biggest draws to Technic/Tekkit is the machines. You really need to get rubber and get a small machine shop going, both to increase output from resources collected, and to...oh, well, that's pretty much it to begin with.

Question about downgrading
Torezu replied to Jeroen Visschedijk's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
The old version of the server is at the bottom of the Tekkit page. Just have your clients wipe their Tekkit install and use 2.1.0 from the launcher (select "Manual Build Selection" or whatever it's called). Fair warning: I'm pretty sure this will stop being supported soon, so save the files. Also, you can either add Forestry back into Tekkit 3 if you know what you're doing, or use Energy Links and Power Converters in place of electric engines. -
Making A Server - Absolutely Confused
Torezu replied to zibbiezone's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Add "\bin" to the end of your path. If that's a copy/paste, you need another \ after C: as well. -
Wherever you put your 3.0.3 server. If you didn't start a 3.0.3 server, but instead started directly with 3.0.4, ignore the instructions - you don't need them.
-
*Sigh* The launcher version is 1.0.1.3. We need a launcher log to troubleshoot. You need to update your Java to 7. Listing an antivirus would probably be helpful. Finally, don't sign your posts - we can read your name about 3 inches away just fine.
-
Post the launcher log anyway (pastebin or code tags). You never know what we might get out of it. I assume you have 64-bit Windows 7? I have no trouble allocating 4GB of memory in the Options screen on the launcher...do you perhaps have an old launcher version? Hint: a launcher log would tell us all of this.
-
Go into your system path variable and delete one? *Carefully. You still need to post a launcher log, though, as I don't think duplicate path directories is causing your problem.
-
That IPv4Stack tag doesn't normally work in Windows 7. Which version of the launcher are you using, .jar or .exe, and are you still using Java 6 on the launcher and Java 7 on the server? That right there could cause conflicts. I'm not trying to restate the obvious, but I have personally never heard of a single other person with your set of errors that couldn't fix them by installing Java 7.
