Everyone. These guys are being really helpful. The least you can do is follow the requested format. I will keep an eye on this, and start treating crap posts as if you didn't follow the bug report format. In other words, you get an instant kellering. If you want someone to do something nice for you, the least you can do is put some effort into the request. It can't take more than another 5-10 minutes to chase down some links.

It sounds like you have 32-bit Java, if it's only letting you allocate that much RAM. However, unpacking mod packs should not really be using much in the way of system resources, so I don't know what's going on from that end.

Add quotes around the launcher path in the batch file. If you still have issues, go post a bug report.

I wouldn't as it's too expensive really early. Yes. The diamond drill uses less power, but isn't as versatile. It's a better starting point, though, in my opinion. Also, it can be enchanted (with books and an anvil), and I don't believe the power tool can.

You have AVG installed. Unfortunately, disabled or not, it's been known to mess with downloads. I'd remove it entirely. Other free AVs like Avast! and MSE work just as well and aren't as intrusive.
