  1. The only way I could do something like that, since I can only merge, not split/unmerge posts, is to delete some of the ones between yours.
  2. Disabling NEI is going to upset some (read: a lot of) people. Having those recipes available is very convenient.
  3. I would expect that. I don't think the offer was for an unlimited time, and people probably get tired of spending 2-3 hours at a time making a working pack with lots of mods that they don't get to use. The Platform page could be used to select a mod pack that approximates what you want, and then a pack there could be adjusted to suit, or someone who is unable or unwilling to spend the time putting their own together may have to settle for something close.
  4. Check your active antivirus/firewall software. Also, I'm closing this thread because it's in the wrong place.
  5. Tekkit Lite is to some degree active, but there isn't a lot of point in updating it, since the two (imo) largest, most complex mods in it, IC2 and RedPower, haven't hit 1.5.x yet.
  6. I think the separate post near the beginning of your thread is sufficient. Too many threads make finding anything difficult. I may rename your thread just as a reference.
  7. If only there were a Common Problems and Solutions thread where you could go to figure out what's wrong...
  8. Copy of what, and why are you double-posting?
  9. And a search function, and tons of mod packs to review, or create your own.

    Wanna play?

It's not a section. It's a specific thread in the Discussion sections. Ignore them at your peril. :cop:
  11. And the Nuclear Control expansion. IC2 has not (officially) updated to 1.5.x yet, so it was removed from new Tekkit, and Voltz never had it. /thread
  12. [mostly unsupported hypothesis] My working personal theory is that dark matter/energy doesn't really exist. There's a perceived difference between gravitational effects on galaxies and amount of matter in those galaxies, and that's the origin of the dark matter theory. I think that difference is the interaction between baryonic ("normal matter") gravity, or what we register as "normal" gravity, and anti-baryonic ("antimatter") gravity, or what we register as anti-gravity. The reason we can't see the matter that's interacting is that anti-matter is actually reverse-time matter, hence the annihilation when they come in contact with each other (which happens in extreme-energy situations). [/mostly unsupported hypothesis]
  13. This is usually a sign that DirectX or a graphics card driver is out of date. This can often be the case even when you installed the drivers that came with the card. I suggest a review of the current and available versions of your driver package, and any old versions that may still be resident on your computer.
  14. I moved this from Off Topic. It's not (off topic).
  15. Ooh! A science thread! (I fixed your somewhat atrocious spelling and grammar.)
  16. What about timers, tubes, easy-to-use filters, etc? RedPower had some well-developed inventory/item-movement management, and IC2 had some easy-to-use continuous power systems (I would have been happy if they'd stopped at LV Arrays/Advanced Solar Panels, just to provide generator-level power output) so you didn't have to worry about your ME storage system shutting down while you were trying to use it. What do you use for power that's not really complex? Or does such a thing not exist right now?
  17. There are two sets of configs: 1 for standard and 1 for advanced machines. Make sure you're turning off the correct ones, and that you're doing it while Minecraft and Java aren't running.
  18. :effort:
  19. The Technic-hosted packs do. You'll notice, much to my annoyance, that neither Tekkit Lite nor 1.5.x Tekkit have Thaumcraft or OptiFine (though the latter is easy to install).
  20. The odd thing is that Alblaka is still posting on the IC2 forums. I get the feeling mod development has lost its interest for him.
  21. Indeed. Please do so next time.
  22. The Inbox in the upper right corner is the place to start. But don't worry about it at this point - I locked it.
  23. Where did you hear that from? If you watch the discussion and server posting sections on this forum, even though Tekkit Classic has the weight of the posts still, the combination of Lite, new Tekkit, and Custom posts is very rapidly catching up, especially given how long they have(n't) been around. That should tell you all you need to know about how many people "don't like the newer versions".
  24. When you title your server thread "Men needed for a new server!", well...yeah. Also, on this site admins are, by default, always right. Unless they acknowledge they're wrong. Which never happens. Also, you're now banned for ban evasion. Side note: TheCraftenator1 has temporary points, so they will expire in a month, and you'll be back on probation in 3 days, I believe. TheCraftenator's points are permanent. Feel free to appeal to an admin.
