Your version of Tekkit is a bit on the old side, given that 1.0.6 is recommended last I checked. However, if you're still on Java 6, that could explain many, if not all, of your problems. I suggest an update.

It would certainly be fine to post it in the Tekkit Lite Servers section, but you would need to reformat the title to follow the basics, and put enough information in to meet the requirements in this thread. There's less there than there looks like, though if you want to attract good players, having a good post is the best way to do that.

Check for hardware/software firewalls, and I suggest deleting the entire sub-folder and starting from scratch with the mod pack (as long as you have 249 now).

They also seem to have longer range. It's rude. You can't get to them in the water any more. It's literally not possible.

When downloads aren't working, it generally means an antivirus or firewall is blocking the download. Try disabling that. Also, learn to use the Edit button.

You need to learn to ask in the right place. There's a bug board, wherein you can submit a bug report, and probably get more help. However, if you're still on YogBox, it's not really supported any more, since it stopped being developed...ummm...several months ago.

Anything like Scourgecraft or the like that has lots of RPG/dungeon/worldgen stuff. I can't really think of one that I've settled on for my SSP stuff, but there are lots of options to choose from.

What's wrong with the newest/any version of OptiFine? Optical zoom is something I have a lot of trouble living without.

Ask an admin to fix it (red name) if you're extremely concerned about it. They're the only ones with account modification permissions.
